Great if you know what you're doing.
I want to preface this by saying I'm relatively new to skincare. I'm quickly approaching my 30s, and while I've been privileged with great genetics, it's recently dawned on me that genes will only take me so far (basically, she saw a wrinkle in the mirror and panicked). So, after weeks of research, and months of experimenting, a lot of money wasted on products that weren't meant for my skin, I found a skincare regimen that works for me. This product in particular, I had a journey with, that I wanted to share with you all.I purchased my first bottle of this at the end of October, and here I am ready to buy another bottle (spoilers, it works, folks). However, I went through hell to figure out how to get the best benefit from this product! I'm talking irritation, acne, and my new favourite fancy term; post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. I know. Sounds bad. But hear me out, all that crap was MY OWN FAULT, and I am here to tell you what I did wrong so you can get it right. Long story short, I didn't wear sunscreen. And then I wore a sunscreen that just didn't work with this product... Then finally, I found the holy grail combination that solved all my first world problems.See at first, I was only applying this serum at night, and had no problems whatsoever. In fact, my skin was glowing. Then, somewhere along the way, I read that a Vitamin C applied during the day can help improve your skin even more by protecting it from the pollutants you walk through on a day to day basis. Big mistake. After two days of using this serum during daylight hours my skin was BURNING. I had spots there were red, crusty, gross, et cetera. So here I am going "What the hell am I doing wrong? It can't be this product because it worked before."I quickly learned it was because Vitamin C on its own is very unstable. So when exposed to UV light, it reacts violently on the surface of your skin. Like literally burns it! I was under the impression that my skin didn't like SPF from past experiences (I've been hurt before too). So my solution was buying a cheap SPF enhanced moisturizer that had a low SPF (15, for all of you curious on what to avoid). Yeah big mistake. Made my problems a thousand times worse. My skin never looked worse. Not wanting to give up, I decided to take a leap of faith, and got a moisturizer with SPF 40. What lead me to go from 15 to 40 you ask? Well why do we sometimes go from getting a salad at McDonald's on Monday, to getting a whole McDouble on Friday. Sometimes we just know we need more. Best decision I made. I would apply the Vitamin C serum in the morning, then followup with the Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 40, and within a week I had the best skin I've EVER had. Hope this helps someone who really wants to make this baby work. You have to HAVE to use SPF if you're going to wear this serum during the day. Otherwise, stick to strictly using this during your PM regimen.

Very pleased with this product.
I’ve been using this for about 10 years and I love it. I have very few wrinkles around my eyes now and I’m 76.

Nothing spectacular
Texture is water. When you put it on your face, it just drops down like water.Feels and tastes yes tastes , the drop just drops down your lip, it smells like some type of strong herbs. But beyond all that , it didnt do anything spectacular . just felt like another vita c product. In other words not game changing.

What are you waiting for?
As a professional woman I know looking good matters for more than just my self esteem. I have never been interested in injections or plastic surgery so am always keeping a watchful eye out for products that are relatively affordable and produce results - a moving target in the cosmetic industry, to be sure. This is a good product. In my 40's I began to rely mostly on Retin A products to keep my skin looking bright and more youthful. As you might know Retin A can be harsh and drying but I didn't care, I just put up with the downside of it for the results. Now, at 56, I'm wondering if there are skin care options that aren't so harsh but still get the job done, given the advances in the industry.I had a facial in Hawaii recently and the talented aesthetician used a vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid. I liked the result ...and she swore by it, saying it was the primary thing she used on her (flawless) skin. When I got home I did some research and then looked on Amazon for reviews. From there I purchased Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum With Hyaluronic Acid and have been quite impressed. Especially considering the price. My skin is more hydrated and I'm noticing my fine lines aren't so visible. I've only been using it for a few weeks but am glad to have found it and look forward to see what it can do in a few months.Last week I was getting my hair cut by my long time hairdresser/ friend when our conversation turned to skin care. She, at the age of 57, has lovely skin and mentioned she used a vitamin C serum. In comparing notes her serum did not have hyaluronic acid in it and she was complaining her skin was still quite dry. I immediately brought Amazon up on my phone and bought a bottle of the Amara Organic version for her. I look forward to my next hair cut so we can compare notes.I'm a veteran enough of the cosmetic industry to know that this product is a terrific value.Buy it.
