Not as Good as it Looks
The instructions are very poor and you will need to undertake some research online to understand all the readings and how they work. Having ststed the above, the operation is straightforward and you can quickly learn the settings for charging and discharing etc. There does appear to be an issue with the capacity percentage, which appears to be very inaccurate. This has been noted by other users on reddit. I have only just started using the charger, so I may find out more in time. It is a shame I cannot give it 5 stars as the build quality and concept is good.

8 bay charger that charges and discharges cells individually
The media could not be loaded. I've owned the C9000pro and Vapextech smart chargers and numerous others. Firstly, I bought this charger specifically for the 'capacity plus charge' function, which is marketed as a discharge before recharging mode.It doesn't exist. It is in the instruction book but in the charger menus it simply does not exist. Bit crap. The instructions are poor. The charger can fully charge, then discharge before recharging cells but not the touted 'capacity plus charge function'. That annoyed me.Also, the charge/discharge rates are not exclusive. If you set a 500ma discharge rate, then that will be the charge rate for the same cycle. You cannot make them different from each other if they are both being performed in the same cycle. You CANNOT cycle a cell at 1A charge and 500ma discharge for example. The two rates must match. The manufacturer is Chinese and there is no customer service network / email address to ask questions. The display is very nice, the % battery indicator is of course, pointless. With ni-mh a % reading by voltage is highly inaccurate so after a 10 minute charge from empty, it will say 90% charged until the cell actually reaches full charge for example. As I knew it would. All in all...meh...I'm disappointed. You have a fancy interface with a set of not great touch screen buttons. The omission of functions I specifically bought it for is frankly infuriating. The inability to have a different charge rate to discharge rate is also annoying. The suggestion of firmware updates is preposterous. I am not going to download update programs for a charger! There is no mains power brick supplied at this price point, there should be.I should have bought another C9000 pro.Edit : the discharge before charge function does exist, it is called the 'activation charge'.

Good, but could be better
Good charger, but the touch screen and interface is a bit clunky, hopfully improved with a software update.
