I've tried this a few times the first time I was basically broken for 3-4 days.. it is such a fun but serious hammer. Love hitting it on my truck tyre but approach with caution, it's literally not for the weak and as I am a woman I nearly swung with it a few times 🤣 let me carry on building myself back to it

Ok (ish)
Bought over £100 and got x2 reductions in as many weeks and add on weights are priced far too highly

Just get a normal sledgehammer
This thing... if Odin had a grave he'd be turning in it. It looks cool, whoever did the visual design did a cracking job and deserve a raise. But that's where the good stuff ends. As a hammer, it's awful. The handle is most of the weight, and is such an awkward, uncomfortable slab of flat steel I'd rather do tire slams with a railway sleeper. With all the weight in the handle the swing is massively uncontrollable unless you maintain the Worst Form Imaginable for slams. It's such a shame as it's a great idea (a hammer you don't need a tire for), but Tribe would have been better off fitting a regular tubular steel handle and marketing it as a 10lb hammer you don't need a tire for (upgradeable to 20lb with the add on plates). That alone would be worth buying. Really, just get a regular 10 or 14lb sledgehammer and hit a piece of carpet with it, it actually works better than this.

If you need a heavy sledge hammer for working out this is what you need. It has a sturdy rubber head so you do not need a tire or padding to hit.

Wanna be a man and boost testosterone? Work out with this to some viking music. You will feel like a viking heading in to battle. Seriously I have gotten way freaking stronger after two sessions. Unless your really in shape take it easy with this beast!

My squad and I have used this hammer for months (closer to a year) as a supplementary workout tool, and within the past month it finally started showing signs of wear and tear. We use it at least once or twice a week and it provides us at least 20-30 minutes of valuable endurance and strength training, as well as a good HIIT workout.

First of all, the quality of this hammer is amazing. I was skeptical about using it without a tire, but slamming it into a horse stall mat works just fine. The rubber casing around the head of the hammer is appears to be extremely durable and should last a lifetime. My first impression was that the hammer wasn't top heavy enough, but that didn't concern me, because I knew that I could order add on plates. I immediately ordered the add on plates and after an ordeal (see separate review on add on plates) I now feel like I have an exceptional product. I now love this thing, but can't give it 5 stars because I don't believe that the product has been perfected yet. Tribe WOD if your listening...please iron out the wrinkles and make heavier add on plates. If I had the option of going heavier than 35 lbs. and had the proper hardware included, I would give this product 10 stars.
