Great fun & learning
I am really impressed with the quality of this product, my 5 year old loves it. Not too interested in the word game at the moment, but loves the numbers and tangram. I purchased 'pizza co' and 'coding awbie' separately and he loves these too.All the osmo apps are free but you do need the osmo stand and reflector for the iPad or tablet (we use iPad). I did not buy the base for monster app, we found a white board or paper (but you have to keep using a new piece of paper with each drawing) did the job (sorry osmo) same with the newton app, we found the reflector could see lego pieces and used this info to make the game playable without purchasing all the pieces. I do highly recommend and am saving for the detective board for geography.. well done osmo.Nothing in this starter kit can't be done on the cheap, such as good old fashion pen and paper because of this it makes osmo a lot of money, but I think the next generation just learn more interactively with tech. I'm happy because I got a discount at Christmas, I also found with research that I could save some money by buying the genius starter kit and adding other games that need interactive board and pieces etc. you might find you can by the base and reflector and then just get the free apps, that way you can use pen and paper for e.g. And then decide if you want to pay up. Although they do grow with this product, at least over the next 10 years!

You will not regret it.
OK so I ordered this yesterday, it came delivered by Prime so arrived by 4pm today. What can I say? This is an incredible product and it’s well worth every penny. Now that schools are closed, I am having to work from home. This will provide a brilliant “virtual teacher” if you like by means of keeping my 5 year old occupied whilst I do my role. There is only so much “activity sheets” and toys a child can play with but when kids are obsessed with technology and this is so interactive. She is enjoying the maths game. We have got around not having the creative package by drawing on pieces of paper instead. 10/10. Especially with keeping our children’s brains working during this awful time.

Good idea but not practical if have a cover on ipad
We use a hard rubber cover on our childrens ipad to prevent breakages so this is just not practical. You need to fit the red mirror on the top in order to use it, so it would literally mean removing the protective case each and every time.

Kids Love It
7 year old, 6 year old and 3 year old all love it. It’s a screen but with physical interaction. Great fun and educational.

Quick to set up and great fun to use
I like the fact that our 6 year old screen addict can have opportunities for learning while enjoying himself.I dislike the choice I had to make between Genius and Creative. I loved the Creative game in which the child's drawings are pulled up onto the screen by a friendly monster but it didn't seem worth buying the Creative package just for that so I chose Genius. There are some add-on programs but the only way to get the monster drawings is to buy the whole creative set. It would be better if it was more flexible.

Fast delivery, quality product
I received it on a Saturday, which is very fast before the estimated delivery for next Tuesday. Thumps up for fast delivery.Quality product, although I found it a little difficult to open the storage boxes, had to apply a bit of pressure to open them.I found it very easy to use with my iPad mini 2. The reflector works brilliantly to detect the items. My 6 yr daughter loved it. I recommend it.

So far it has been a challenging thing to set up
We couldn't get the games to open so call the customer services in the USA!1. The redemption coded need to be entered in CAPITAL letters only. 2. The osmo app needed was the osmo world app, not the osmo parents app (which also needs to be downloaded, but not till after the initial set up phase)

Beware includes adverts for their other products
I bought this for my Daughters 6th birthday. It is no more special that some of the free to use learning resources she has been using already in the iPad. In fact it is probably worse as the off screen resources included are a barrier (taking them out and putting them away again) and the games/skills can be mastered more easily elsewhere without them. There isn’t much variety in each of the different boxes/apps. E.g I thought there’d be various number games but there doesn’t appear to be any more than one, same with the word games. The thing I dislike the most is that when scrolling through the different games they advertise the apps/games which are not included in the genius pack and so the child tries to play and find out they don’t have the extra packs required for this, the extras are not cheap either!I didn’t realise all the additional costs and adverts for add ins were going to be an issue otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it and would have stuck to the old fashioned way of learning or some free/cheaper all inclusive apps with no adverts. The main reason for buying it was to get away from the in app purchase trap you always seem to fall down but was disappointed to find this was no different.Beware because if your child is anything like mine they’ll be nagging for the extra games which are not included, but I suppose this is what they business was banking on when they designed it.I’d return it if I could but she’s played it now, it’ll probably just gather dust before we decide to get rid of it in a few months.
