Up-Grade! Christmas Piano Grades 1-2 [Up-Grade! Series]

I love the arrangements in this book - great for more advanced players and for those at Grade 1-2. I am a piano teacher and loved both playing themselves and teaching them to my pupils.

Lovely range of pieces just a shame page 4 was damaged and notes unreadable

Good quality book but I think the pieces in here are more aiming towards grade 2 but saying that I look forward to trying some of the pieces in here. I have the other books in the series for grades 1-2 and I am happy with them like I am this book. Good quality print so easy to read.

I bought this for my son who will take Grade 2 next term. I was worried that I hadn't ordered it early enough and therefore he wouldn't get enough time to learn much before Christmas and that it would then be too easy for him next Christmas. However I think he will get several years of enjoyment out of this. For a child of his standard these are pieces to spend a little while learning not just to sight read and they are absolutely beautifully written. As a significantly more experienced pianist myself I am really enjoying playing the music to my children. They are perfectly written for piano and are lovely arrangements, worlds apart from other children's Christmas music arrangements I have tried. The only word of warning is that there is a range of music in here - popular Christmas songs as well as traditional carols. If, like my son, you are planning to run a carol service for the grandparents on Christmas Day (!) you may want to get some more carol music elsewhere.

This is a good book that has gone down well with my pupils. It starts off easy but quickly increases in difficulty. The last pieces would suit a pupil who is a good grade 2 or a tentative grade 3. I also use this for practising sight reading for more advance pupils.

Fabulous book for light relief at Christmas. I have just passed my grade 4 but found these classic Christmas tunes had a very interesting compositions. They are easy but they sound impressive and more complicated than they are. My favourites were Walking in the Air and Chestnuts roasting in an open fire.

I can understand why it us grade 1 and 2 as done of thetunes are harder than ithers. A good book that will last a few years. Nice present

This is a lovely book of Christmas music for Grade 1-2 piano pupils, I shall be using it regularly from now on...
