This Emma Barclay Curtain Pole is good value for money, well made, easy to put together and easy to install. This is as good as the pole I bought from Dunelm Mill. Yes it does have a plastic joining piece where one part of the pole slides inside the other but it's not a problem - most extendable poles have this fitting.

Looks good now fitted, but had to order extra rings as not enough were provided.It should be obvious that a pole extending to this length needs enough rings to be of any use, Seems a ploy to make an item price look good, but ensure the seller makes more profit from selling extra rings separately.Overall, however, the pole itself is sturdy, looks good, and was a good buy.

Easy to assemble. Strong pole which will hold medium weight curtains very well.Extremely pleased with this purchase.

I would not buy this product again. The curtain pole had a dent which could be seen through the clear plastic packaging before opening so must have been damaged at the factory and still sent out. I couldn't be bothered to return it and have twisted the pole so the dent is facing the wall and hidden. Also, where the pole extends there is a ridge between the small and large section which the curtain rings get caught on. This is very annoying and doesn't happen with a similar (and cheaper) Wilko pole I bought which has a small plastic connector that prevents catching on the rings. Other than that, the item is good quality, sturdy.

Good product and service from this company, however be aware, we ordered two of these from Amazon in different sizes. They came from 2 different suppliers and although the poles and finials were identical, the brackets and screw fixing were different on each pole. Since they were intended for adjacent windows, this is a bit annoying. The bracket with 2 separate legs for screw fixings (sort of V shape) was much more secure and stable than the L shape fixing with the scoop for the pole to sit in . One of the downsides of Amazon imo.
