Why was price jacked up? Its $24.99 on the Lego website

The Amazon pre-release price is 24.99, the same as the Lego site. All the other are sellers scalping the item. It getting nuts this starting before the item is widely released. It's bad enough how it happens after a item is "retired."

Does anyone ever spray these cars with lacquer to hold the car together ? Might be a dumb question,,, just wondering. Thank you

Lego have supply shortages since over 3 years now so many Lego Sets are sold out at Lego, and if an retailer sells on Amazon, Amazon charges him with an 15 % sales fee plus guess what somebody have to pay for your free prime shipping guess who it is ! Yes the retailer so additional $8-9 cost at least , make it no sense for you why the Lego set costs more on Amazon from an reseller than at Lego it self.
