Fast, easy to use, good value.
I’m 43 and 17 years ago had an ovary and Fallopian tube removed. 10 years ago I was told by a Professor who was treating me for ivf that I had low ovarian reserve and would have a very early menopause.I’ve been going to the doctors for 5 years now explaining my symptoms and telling them that I’m sure I’m peri menopausal. Nobody would listen! I’ve had to live with hot flushes where I’m literally sopping wet at work; it’s been awful. Finally I plucked up the courage to insist upon a blood test again. This time I was successful and had one yesterday. Before going this time to the surgery I had studied the NHS Nice guidelines and I wasn’t going to take no for an answer!I’m awaiting my results. I bought this on a whim. I don’t know if my test shows positive or not. There are definitely two lines visible but one looks more feint than the other. This urine test has given me hope that I’ll get the help that I feel I need (albeit very late). If you’re in my situation please fight your case and don’t suffer like me.

Important info on WHEN to do the test in your cycle - it makes a difference!
Bought this and performed test last week - box is in Turkish but instructions were in English and I have used a similar test before and noticed that there was NO mention of when you need to do this test to get the correct results. Most FSH tests depend upon certain levels of hormones being present during your cycle. If you are still having your period you need to do this test the day AFTER your first full bleed, or any day up until day 5 but as soon after as possible but not on the first sign - please don't ask me more on this I'm not a scientist, nurse or a doctor, I just know this from other tests. If you aren't having periods at all then it doesn't matter. If you get an inconclusive result or you get a positive result, it's best to do a repeat test exactly 7 days later and that's whether you are having periods or not.Regarding the test, it's no frills and simple; you need a clean container to collect your specimen and a watch to time 5 minutes. Don't forget about the test as the test will not give the correct result after 10 minutes.Useful? - give me a thumbsup - thanks x

Hormones fluctuate, please read
So I know I'm in perimenopause, I'm 41 and have had hard to ignore symptoms for over 2 years and family history of early menopause. My periods have gone to 4 months apart since 2019, then 2 periods in 3 weeks, spotting for 2 days then nothing for months. Everything has been ruled out. I have horrible hot flushes and night sweats, erratic mood. 6 weeks before I did THIS home test my hormone blood tests ordered by the doctor were NORMAL. So which test is correct? Both possibly. Until you reach menopause or on that threshold where you're almost in full menopause your FSH levels will possibly be normal at different stages I'm your menstrual cycle. Perimenopause can go on for many years and as long as you're still having some sort of period, doctors blood tests will possibly be normal at that precise moment in time. You would probably see fluctuations if the blood test was repeated multiple times but obviously they wouldn't as most of us know you're very lucky if the doctor even tests your hormones. So don't take these tests as a definite confirmation of menopause or perimenopause. Doctors dismiss these as unreliable and if you're struggling with perimenopause symptoms, ask your doctor to treat you for those symptoms. You don't need a positive menopause test to start hormone treatment. These tests are supposed to have 25ml sensitivity, FSH levels for women in full menopause are over 30ml so if you're still having periods and produce a positive test that isn't accurate as for a woman still menstruating FSH levels are 25ml and under so this test makes zero sense biologically either way at 25ml sensitivity.

Handy to have
Bought these twice, once for me in 2021 since early menopause runs through my family, I wasn't sure if I was going through it at 31, so not to waste doctors time I bought these cheap tests first, came back positive and my doctors confirmed I had premature menopause. I then bought them for a family member who was having the same symptoms as me, again still really young early 30s came back positive. They are so handy when you don't want to waste doctors time.

Poor instructions
Doesn’t state best time when to do test -first thing in morning or whenever?? Before expected period or after?? Do you need to do both tests days/weeks apart?? Tiny pipettes included fiddly to use. Mine tested positive but I won’t take it for granted as I’ve read these type of tests are very unreliable and waste of time but kind of confirmed my suspicions. Needs much clearer instructions though as other reviews have stated

Much needed peace of mind!
With difficulties we have accessing medical services these days, particularly around menopause, this test has been a godsend. It comes with 2 testing strips, I did 2 weeks apart and it gave me factual information on my FSH levels. Brilliant little kit. Value for money, would highly recommend
