I bought this to help secure a garden storage unit. The holes don’t line up and chains won’t fit the holes. This solved the problem well. For my needs the cable is a bit long and I have to loop it. The cable is coated so it should hold up in the Great British Weather. The lock mechanism is easy to use and seems secure. It would stop a determined theft but will likely slow them down.

Used to lock my toolboxes when on-site. Easy to fit and feels strong and durable. The cable being smaller fits easily into the holes on my toolbox for locking.

First time we've tried this style of lock, super easy to use, long length so fit for many uses, be prepared for a bit of grease at first when its new, sliding through the mechanism. Currently used on a trail cam wrapped around a tree out in the elements and holding up well, will probably buy again.

I used this lock to lock my general waste bin. I've been having this issue with my neighbours for a couple of months now where they dump all their waste in my bin a day before the collection. It worked well for a couple of weeks. And then someone cut it off and put their waste in my bin again. I have no complaints against the product. It's only 5mm in diameter so it's only that strong. Maybe I should've got the 8mm or maybe a chain or something. It's easy to lock, but it's slightly tougher to unlock. Also the design doesn't really help to give you a visual clue whether it's locked or unlocked. I have to pull it and confirm that it's locked. The design could definitely be made better. But for the purpose, it served well. Well until my neighbours cut it.

Having had my first trail camera stolen, I decided I would add a deterrent to my second one.I’m sure if someone turned up with the right equipment, they’d have little trouble breaking the cable, but as a deterrent to an opportunist thief, this will do a great job. Has been in location for 6-8 weeks in a relatively quiet rural spot and has done its job, as well as allowing me to keep tabs on some local fox cubs.This is a thinner cable model which I needed to for the lock on my camera. It can be a little fiddly feeding it through, but over time, I’ve developed the best technique to speed up the process.Came with four keys, so plenty spare in case you lose one!
