Excellent rotary tool for many uses.
This rotary tool exceeded my expectations in every way. It is well made, smooth, powerful and priced reasonably. The chuck system is amazing - positive lock and go, very fast and easy to use. Speed range is great and the motor seems to have enough torque at lower speeds for light grinding. High speed is a dream - super smooth and he unit runs quiet and cool.Only negatives I have are that this uses brushes for the motor, so I will have to keep an eye on its performance. Second, the color of the device is not great - it looks like an appliance from the 60’s and this led me to believe it,was not well made. I would love this device completely if it were all black, grey or white. My only regret is not getting one sooner - great tool.

Great for power wood carving!
This small power carver has a lot of power and is great for wood carving details and finishing I am very happy so far with this tool and has enhanced my artistic abilities. From diamond burrs to popular extreme burrs the power carver does not "bog down". Also, bits are very easy and fast to change with just a quick turn of the carver and no tools are needed. It does get a little warm after continuous long use on the highest RPM setting, but I never had the reset the over heating protection yet.

Better than pneumatic!!
Great machine, easy burr change, fast, keeps on working hard. Easier than foot pedal because you can adjust the speed right on your benchtop. Small enough to pack with you every where you go in an old purse, That's what I do! Well everywhere I plan on carving anyway. I just needed something to make it easy to transport with a bunch of little pockets for bits and things. Old purse worked perfectly. Anyhow, amazing tool! It as as fast as pneumatic but its electric and better yet no flex shaft! Just a stretch phone like cord attaches it to the motor. Well, back when phones had stretchy cords. Okay so I dated and sexed myself all in one review but even though I am an old female, I have used the heck out of this tool, even made the mistake of trying to open the chuck while it was on still and it cut out and stopped working, the day i bought it. I thought it was done for and was literally in tears but unplugged it and replugged and it worked again and have never had a problem since. It didn't even damage its ability to open/close the chuck and still holds the bits tight as ever. So I am a blessed old female with an amazing tool. :)

Great for detail!
I do relief and 3d carving. The motor isn't strong enough to use aggressive bits. It's not made for that. Use a dremel for that. This is for delicate detail. Cord is easy to maneuver. Much better than a flex shaft. I've had it for almost 2 years and sometimes use it for hours at a time all winter long. Easy bit change-twist to open, twist to close.

The unit is good.
The dremel wouldn’t work when we got it but the tech support was great. Five stars for them

Just Wonderful...
I was using a friend's Micro-Pro and fell in love with it..Thinking someday I'll be buying one for myself..That someday came about..It arrived yesterday as expected neatly packaged everything intact with detailed instructions...I'm a relief carver worked with micro chisels and wood the thickness of a thin slice of bread.. Having to give up my chisels because of arthritis...My friend brought over his Micro-Pro for me to try out I had no pain in my hands and fingers using it awhile...It wasn't hard switching from micro hand chisels to power carving really fascinating...

Fantastic.
Best thing I ever bought. I was using a Dremel for glass engraving until I got Lesley...That is the name I gave my Micro Pro. Named after Lesley Pyke, the famous glass engraver from Africa. Anyway this little Micro-Pro is worth every penny. It's very quiet, changes my burrs quickly and efficiently, takes up little space and I just love it. It came quickly and I just can't say enough about how it works. Thanks.

Why have I waited so long?!
This carver is the best. I have used a Dremel for over 20 years thinking it was the best for all of my detail work with gourds. It is small, quiet and does the job exquisitely.
