Buying a second container for filament storage
The manufacturer should really lean into the 3D printing use-case for this, eg one of the A+ images and some copy about its superior capability vs silica etc. I just replaced my entire supply of silica with this stuff; filament spool cores for storage and AMS use, and containers in my filament cabinet. Small comparison: in a metal office cabinet with no gaskets but with tightly closing doors, I went from using 8lbs of silica beads to using 4lbs of activated alumina; the lowest I could get the cabinet’s RH was 35%, the lowest so far with AA is 23% RH, and I’ve only had it in there for two days. I bought another 7.5lb container so I have plenty on hand to swap out all of my storage cores.

Great for 3D printer filament
These things work great. I used them for a filament storage container and it not only keeps my dried filament dry but it actually lowered the humidity in the container compared to silica gel. The container always used to hover around 15% humidity and now with these it's anywhere from 8 to 10.

Works better than the translucent beads
I got this to dry filament. I have a bunch of traditional dryers, the same stuff that comes in a small packet with a new TV or something. Those can be dried at 150 in an oven. This stuff needs to be dried at 300-400F for a few hours. Not as convenient, but it works. I had two sealed boxes with filament and the regular desiccant. Both were around 40% humidity. I put some of this stuff in one. After a week the other one was the same but this one was 12%!. If you need the lowest humidity, this stuff will get you there.

Superb desiccant
What an absolutely superb desiccant!I'm using it in my Bambu Lab AMS and spool holders. Literally within 5-7 minutes the humidity dropped to 20% and within approximately 1 hour, it was down to 10% and stayed there. Also the hygrometers in my spoolholders all show 10% and staying steady (in a vacuum bag). This now is officially my desiccant of choice.Yes... it is quite expensive, but TOTALLY worth it for me.

Perfect for 3d printing hobbyists!
I purchased this based on a recommendation from a Youtube video, switching my silicate desiccant over to this.Super happy with the results! I have switched all my storage containers to it, and used tea bag strainer containers and placed them in the middle of my open filaments as well.If you use tea containers as holders, you can throw the containers in the oven too, and not have to dump out the alumina to dry it out. This has a HUGE difference over the silica, I get way lower humidity when it is fresh, and it lasts WAY longer between needing to be dried in the over.5/5, highly recommend this!
