It tends to be crisp on the outside and very soft inside. While eating it, at first you crack the outer layer with your teeth and then you let the tender filling melt in your mouth. I used to adore it before eliminating dairy from my diet. Since then, I have been searching for a dairy-free alternative, but unfortunately haven't found one till recently. I was so excited when I discovered this 'fabulous' fudge on amazon, however it turned out to be a huge disappointment. It is hard and way too sweet for my taste. It lacks this characteristic caramel flavour and smell I remember from my childhood. To me it tastes like a brown-coloured lump of sugar. The positive aspect is the fact that this fudge is suitable for vegetarians & vegans, is dairy, gluten and GMO free and contains no hydrogenated fats, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Despite these advantages I regret buying the fudge and overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
