Value for money, good quality
Nothing to dislike - it worked exactly as I had expected with my Chromecast Audio puck and performed flawlessly. Good product, good price, good buy.

Brilliant for its intended purpose.
Please ignore the poor reviews from customers who believe this is some kind of miracle cable, with an analog headphone jack at one end and a digital TOSLINK at the other! This cable is ideal for its intended purpose - carrying a DIGITAL audio signal.I use it to connect my Mac Mini to an external DAC (and ultimately my Hi-Fi), for a much-improved audio quality. The cable is well constructed and I'm not able to discern any audible difference between it and the £50 QED cable that it replaced (I needed a longer cable after buying a new desk). If it's the cable that you need (do your research first), it's fantastic.

It works as described and has a long guarantee - which is all you really want from a cable

Strong and sturdy
The cable has strong sturdy connectors on the end which are also visually appealing should you have them on display. Used to connect an Apple AirPort Express to my speakers and works perfectly.

Works only unconvincing fit
Bought in place of a longer cable and it seemed to work OK. Seems well made. In the end I stopped using it as the plug sagged slightly in the toslink end compared to the longer cable I already had. I know this can cause dropouts as spdif signals are synchronous (like a live feed). Too late to return so it is festering in a cupboard. It might fit more snugly in something later as the socket/plug fit on these things is a bit of a lottery. Bad design by Toshiba many moons ago. Frankly I would prefer manufacturers to phase out the squat dumb Toslink plug and standardize on the mini-Toslink that is easier to plug in with good alignment. My 2p worth.

Well made product but why the faux Gold finish?
Bought the 4 meter length to connect my Brennan B2 player to my HiFi system and it proved entirely satisfactory for this purpose. However, I'm at a loss to understand why non electrical conducting parts of such connectors are given that faux Gold finish? My understanding is that digital signals are sent only via the central optical core and those plated- on - plastic parts make no sense as the Toslink plug enters a plastic socket on most equipment and so plastic meets plastic and no electrical contact is made.Anway I realised I needed a 5 meter cable with Toslink at both ends so bought that from ebay for £2.99p and that didn't have those 'plated' bits.

Not the right cable
I looked for a cable to connect my Alexa to my TV . This one does not do it.
