Works great for a lantern, even on the low setting provides great fill lighting in a tent, gazzibo. took it camping. plan now to pick up 2 more for the emergancy supplys and for camping.

I purchased a pair to light the campsite area with some fun mood lighting. Took it on a weekend camping trip, the batteries lasted till the last day. They were under pretty moderate use, staying on for a majority of the night. I had LED string lights plugged into one and it worked out great for lighting a canopy. I can't speak to the waterproofness or durability yet, but will make an update if anything changes. My only complaints is the fact you can not adjust the brightness lower than what the set limit is. They can be easily turned on in a bag when traveling, you have to cycle through each mode to get the mode you want, no mode or brightness memory, and lastly the red light is only used for SOS, no constant on for red. Aside these cons, for the price, I love them. They add a great ambient lighting, with a nice retro style. Having them charge while on is a really nice feature for attaching other lights. I'm hoping for a version 2 in the near future that can build upon this design.

This light lasts a long time, but isn't bright enough.
