I tend to use ladders under wet conditions, so adding traction tape is certainly a safety bonus. And if wet conditions weren't enough, it's often during dusk so it's helpful that this particular traction tape mimics attention grabbing caution tape. It's about 1-millimeter in thickness, and a lot of that seems to be the adhesive itself. Using a 4-inch rubber roller, I was able to press it into the groove on the steps for this particular ladder and so far, it's been conforming to the grooves as if it was painted on. I did notice some of the grit texture was slightly coming off while I was pressing the roller over the traction tape, but it wasn't much and I'm not concerned about it. It's held up well after a wash down of mud left behind on the steps. So far so good, but I'm calling this a win. Just a helpful tidbit for a successful application: during prep, use isopropyl alcohol after cleaning the surface area (I first used a few drops of Dawn dishwashing soap with water to clear out any grease and grime) and try to apply it when it's warm (during a sunny, warm day above 60F/15C) or use a heat gun to the surface are where it'll be applied to. Use a rubber roller to apply enough even pressure throughout the contact area of the traction tape and it should allow the adhesive to really take hold to the surface area. It'll be well worth it in the end.

This came in a big roll. I could easily cut it to length and apply to different types of surfaces. As you see in the video one curved one tubular and it was very easy to install. The texture is super nonslip and the glue is nice and strong great product.

This worked well for my front steps. The tape sticks well, fairly durable but will need to replace after a few months. The yellow strips are not very bright at night but helps to bring attention to the steps.

I purchased and installed this product in December 2024, and so far (7 months at the time of this review), it's functionality has held up greatly. Before, my roommate slipped down the stairs 3 times ☠ but since purchasing this product, no more accidents - even when it's pitch black at night, he has no trouble walking down the stairs because of the glow-in-the-dark feature. Since my roommate doesnt like carpet & a runner wouldve been out of the question, I needed something affordable and quick n' easy to install. Originally, I was going to get regular non-slip but he saw the glow-in-the-dark types while we were researching so we got him those instead, and it was definitely the smarter choice! 👍 The stairs are located in the foyer of our house, and the amount of light that directly hits the glow strip is limited, but it's just enough to be effective. I wanted the pattern to look attractive/symmetrical enough and not sloppy so each step has 2 feet of tape. We have 15 steps in total, so 2 rolls of tape were needed. Overall, it's a good looking product. You just need to do the prep work to measure accurately and make it look nice yourself, but it's definitely worth it. It works for his safety and I dont find it ugly to look at 😂

This is great tape. It's thick, sturdy and sticks well. It's very easily seen and thick grit. The lighting in the picture is from purple and green LED lights hanging above the tape on the ceiling.

This tape is amazing. It sticks so well to smooth surfaces. I no longer slip on the stairs and I can even see where I am going in the dark! It was easy to cut and it glows for hours.

I have edited this review from a 5 to 3 stars. The product glue started to fail early in the winter and now very few remain. Perhaps there is no product that will hold up the the rainy NW? It does offer a measure of security if you are willing to reapply or live in a less wet area. We live in the rainy NW, in a very shady area. Our deck stair become extremely slippery during the winter due to this. I attached a strip to every stair tread on our deck last summer (approx 15 treads in different areas). We are not in the rainy season and so far it has stuck well and offers added safety. I'm very happy!
