Kate Spade New York Make It Pop Kettle, 3.75, Green

This kettle is exactly what I’ve been searching for! It really looks wonderful and it creates a nice, classic whistle. Haven’t had any issues with burning the bottom as other reviewers have noted, just make sure the burner isn’t larger than the kettle.

I purchased this as a gift for my tea loving daughter. It’s so pretty, has a nice whistle tone and she loves it.

My mistake for buying something with two major flaws, the whistle and the handle. First, it doesn't whistle when ready! No sound at all. Second, the metal handle gets burning hot. There is no rubber handle or rubber coating on the handle. My mother-in-law burned herself when picking up the kettle to pour, and I felt horrible. It is a very pretty kettle to look at, but absolutely useless as an appliance for heating water.

I bought this for its looks, and it doesn't disappoint. Unlike so many other things these days that pretend to be green but turn out to be teal, this is green. And it looks great.The lid sticks a bit, but I don't use it much so it doesn't bother me.

So, for the price point and from such a brand as Kate Spade I guess I expected that they could make the handle out of something that is insulated and doesn't get hot. As it is, you absolutely must use a potholder, oven mitt, tea towel, etc. to pick the kettle up after boiling. Just adding another step.Also, the inside being black makes it really hard to see inside and tea kettles are just famous for buildup of minerals from the water and growing *things* that are unappetising if they're not cleaned frequently. Making it so dark in there just means it's easier to forget to clean it and you might not know what you're drinking until it's too late.The top is nice and big, so if you've got a flashlight and can see what's going on in there, you can get your whole hand in there to clean it. That's a plus.The spout is really, really difficult to open on mine. I haven't seen it mentioned, so I guess mine is the only one, but it's dangerously hard to open. If I keep it open while it boils, the whistle doesn't work, but if I keep it closed to hear the whistle, the waters gone cold by the time I wrestle the thing open (or I've burnt myself). The hinge seems like it's fine, it's not crooked or anything, and it doesn't look like it can be adjusted.The colour is the best thing about this kettle. It's a true Kate Spade green, it pops, it's bright, it's unique, and it should look great in almost any kitchen.

When the kettle arrived I was delighted to see it was the color as shown and it's absolutely adorable as well as functional. On my stove burner I will have it prominently displayed to use for boiling water (as I love tea) as well as leaving it there as it offers a pop of color.Big enough for four generous cups of hot water (or whatever liquid you desire) the kettle comes to a boil fairly quickly. I measured four cups, turned the burner on to high and had boiling water in approximately 9 minutes. Ready to serve, the kettle was easy to pour and the cap on the spout allows additional safety to avoid splashing.Reviewing the kettle before trying it out, I was impressed with the craftsmanship and found the top lid fit well so there was no worry about water getting out. I also noticed that the seal of the spout seemed to hold as I was checking out the bottom. The components seem to offer a solid product, just as expected from the brand.The uniquely designed handle is quite extravagantly looking. While it's high enough to avoid heat transfer with the kettle itself, I learned very quickly it could catch on my sleeve sand cause concerns, so I leave the kettle on the back burner to avoid any worries.

I like it but it came with a deep scratch on the enamel, I called about it but have heard nothing back.

The media could not be loaded. I love this gorgeous "apple green" teapot by Kate Spade! It heats water up in minutes! The gorgeous design is eye-catching! Look at the handle! Amazing and very easy to use. I love the look and the ease of cleaning it. I highly recommend it! I love it! Hot! Hot! Hot!

Got my kettle. Really like it but the enamel has started to chip off the bottom. So that’s not great
