How would this work, and would be okay for a 72 year old gal??

There is both Gold and Pink in the blush compact and each time you run the brush (which is included) across the blush it picks up a little of both colors giving you cheeks a soft pink blush with a hint of golden glow. I think it would be fine for a 72 year old gal. I am 70 and would have no problem using it myself.Thanks Roberta

Is this the travel size version?

No. The size is a full size. However, i dont believe a travel size is available.

How does galifornia blush compare to regretfully discontinued benefit bella bamba which is pink with gold?

Hi, I am not familiar with the Bella bamba however this galifornia blush is just ok. I wanted to love it, especially for the price. But it's just not all that. It's a little too orange for my preference , but maybe I'm just too pale! But it does smell amazing!! Maybe I'll try again next summer when I have a better tan. Hope this helps.
