On the surface it’s pretty snazzy, well built looks sleek with the all black design, the screen is small but clear even in bright environments, knobs are satisfyingly chunky and buttons are clickyThe analog sounds are subpar, really difficult to get them sounding big but they are charming and if you’ve heard these sounds and you like them, great but I couldn’t really gel with them. The layering feature is a welcome addition but there’s not much in the way of editing those. Sampled sounds are fine, though. The interface is confusing, if you know Korgs and their menudiving special functions etc even this might confuse you. Very simple actions are consigned to menus. The sequencer is not as good as elektron boxes, but it’s good for playing along with other instruments in a live setting. I liked it for that aspect.Korg haven’t released many firmware updates to this machine, not sure if they gave up on it. I was really hoping they would fix the sync issues and drifting. Also my unit had to be sent away to fix the random audio glitches.Overall, this machine is subpar, expensive and confusing. It has charm for sure, it just isn’t enough to outweigh the limitations. I ended up getting rid of this and just buy a used electribe er-1 which saved me a lot of money

Good features, but not such an amazing sound
It is jam packed with features and it is very clever in what it can do. However, you need to do a firmware update to get the full features.. which is not particularly straight forward. And I am quite disappointed with the sound quality. Drums have been done to death digitally, so there should not be any reason why it cannot sound amazing. At best to my ears, it sounds very "meh".

Potentially excellent product ruined by blinding LEDs
As these reviews are all lumped together, this is for the Drumlogue.Having seen and heard numerous videos, and loved the Volca, I was correct in guessing this was just as easy to use, and apart from the decades-old obsolete vocal samples, the on-board sounds are generally good. The analogue parts are very good indeed. Also the build quality is excellent, with a metal chassis and nice firm pots.So why only 3*?First and most importantly, although the main OLED display has a brightness control (and mine had a few dodgy pixels), the red LEDs do not, and they are what I would consider to be dangerously bright, leaving retinal imprints after less than five minutes. I literally couldn't look at the unit for more than a few minutes at a time in a well-lit room, so it would be unusable in a dimly-lit one.Secondly, despite what the manual (and reviews) imply, this is cannot do polyrhythms. [EDIT yes it can, apparently I missed an important step as all I could see by then were dozens of glowing red after-images.]Given these two issues, I had no choice but to request a return it.
