Rugged, nice quality, great for a 5 year-old's airborne adventures
Bought as a gift for my son (although the temptation to whizz a few times around the room contacting 'ghost rider' while answering to 'Maverick' was tempting, I know, the wrong aircraft) who's as equally mad about stuff that flies as I am. Its metal and very solid with plastic payload under the wings. Details are lacking but this is really the reason I bought it, there are enough details to provide interest though and it's very recognisable as the aircraft it represents. My son's Christmas request to Santa last year consisted predominantly of 'Dear Santa, I would like a Stuka, Heinkel, Spitfire, and Messerschmitt please'. What 5 year does that you ask? The only aircraft I could find to meet those requirements were the somewhat delicate ones you get for display. Guess how long they lasted? (Anything less than 2 weeks and well done, you were right). So I was looking for something more substantial, rugged and able to put up with the unusually high G-forces and consistently high-speed landings associated with a 5-year-old's flying adventures. This does the trick nicely and has been for many months.
