Definitely worth it
I had the 1st generation of Silent Brass from Yamaha and it was OK. Sound quality was good however, it was very bulky. Decided to go for this new version finally and all I can say is the new studio is way much better. I almost can’t tell if the mute is on - sound is so realistic. Also the mute is surprisingly compact; even fits in the case when it’s on!

Great porduct as you can here everything yourself but others can't. No more thinking of next door, you can play till as late as you want. I have only been learning the trumpet for a month but find it a god send. No one can here me go wrong. The ear plugs are very compfy and the music is very clear. I haven't found it heavy, you don't no it's there.i would recommend this item to anyone. So glad I got it.

Works well, just get some decent earphones!
Although its pricey it does exactly what I needed it for. Some reviews say it affects your tuning and tone etc but I haven't found this to be a particularly big problem, and certainly if your only alternative is simply playing a practise mute then it is well worth it. The only thing I will say is throw the earphones it comes with straight in the bin, they're pretty poor and tinny. Get some of the big over-ear phones, I'm using a pair of Sennheisers that only set me back about 17 quid and it makes all the difference. Once you're used to using it it works a dream if you need to practise quietly. Would recommend.

Worth it's price
As a uni student who's living in halls, practicing with this makes life a lot easier both for myself and my flatmates who don't like it when I play because it's loud. The reverb features are very good and it helps me hear myself play, which is always quite nice.

Amazing bit of technology. Works very well
Amazing technology. You can hardly hear the trumpet, and with the headphones in it sounds amazing. Really good to practice when concerned for neighbors etc.

Fit for purpose
Bought it for my partner it’s very expensive but he loves it. We live in an apartment and he wanted to be able to play the trumpet without disturbing the neighbours which it does very well.

It motivates me to make time to play when I don't need to use it!
I read so many positive reviews about these before buying one, and saw a few good demo videos. Personally, I hate it!Aside from feeling extremely plasticy and cheap despite the price and brand, it sends the trumpet's tuning way off, doesn't amplify loudly enough (it's okay with the really crappy earphones provided but doesn't manage to drive quality headphones very well at all), and just isn't nice to listen to.I've kept it because it does enable me to play (including with backing tracks) at midnight while the kids are asleep but it's greatest unwritten feature is that it really motivates me to make time to play when I don't need to use it!For what it is I'm disappointed that it costs any more than about £40
