Frustrating to set up but good when it started to work properly. Now it works daughter loves it but at one stage we were going to return itTook a while to set it up its settings were all wrong and paper was in the wrong way round. There is no troubleshooting advice in instructions at all we think we got one that someone else had already returnedWe had to reset it and troubleshoot it ourselves which took time. It does work perfectly now but it was a headache.

The camera itself is easy to use. It has frames and ornaments for the photos you take and allows you to print whatever you want with the built-in black and white thermal printer. I bought this as a present for my daughter, who had been using an old castoff point and click. Which did work great for her until she accidently dropped it and the lens would no longer move.We liked this due to the rubberized protective case for it, although note that the lanyard only attached to this rubber cover and not to the camera itself; and this attachment is only to a single point, not to the two pieces that look like they are for the strap - they're actually solid.After about 2 months of use, the small cutout where the lanyard attaches broke off, so I drilled out the two round rolls on either end of the cover and put a proper camera strap through it. Now it works much better.As far as image quality goes, it's not great. Comparable to a mid 2000s digital camera, maybe slightly better. But, let's face it, kids don't care, and we won't really be looking back through what they have ticket pictures of (their feet, toys, the TV etc). It seems to have some kind auto focus, but it's slow.There are some games, which I wish it didn't have - again, mid 2000s style phone games, snake etc.
