Floats like a Dream
The kayak is laid out wonderfully. It ticks every box I was looking for. The rod holder and bungee placements are ideal. It's nice and sturdy.I use it for fishing and I needed for it to be robust enough to carry my dog and gear. I'm about 200lbs. and the dog is about 100lbs. It's surprisingly stable with both us and a little tackle on it. The scuppers do not overflow at 320 lbs. I take the front net off when I take the dog with me and it's plenty of room for him to occupy without being all over me or between by legs. The seat is awesome, I love the little pocket and slots. It's still very comfortable after several hours in a row. The hole in the front middle of the where the strap holds the seat down is the perfect size to chunk empty beer cans through. They get trapped under there and don't slide around the boat. I did purchase some 3/4" rubber cane feet for the seat, I think I spent $4 on them. I would recommend that, but get some skinnier ones if you can. Poke an air hole in them if you're having trouble getting them all the way on. The skeg is very helpful and makes a difference. I've backed into things a few times and it kind of just pops up and dislodges from its mount, but it hasn't been damaged. Sometimes you gotta land to set it again is all.I load it up in a short bed Colorado. It fits great and very secure when loaded backwards and strapped through the scupper in front of the seat. Loading and unloading is quick and easy because it's light enough to jerk around with one hand. I got the Pelican brand cart designed for it too, and it makes it all that much easier. The shipping did suck. It was delivered in great condition with some neat protective plastic, so it's not too big of a deal. This issue was that the delivery date was rescheduled so many times. It took over two weeks longer than agreed upon to arrive. It's an inconvenience and annoyance, the anticipation was nerve-wracking. At the end of the day though, I'm glad it arrived safe and it's a great fishing kayak.

Best Value Ever ????
Ok 1st lemme say this is my 1st kayak and I’m 45. I have bad shoulders so I doubted I could even paddle. This is amazing and the Skeg really works good to get you moving forward. I may put a motor on it and get it registered , since it came with a Hull Identification Number . For less than 1000 you can’t do better for a fishing entry level kayak you can upgrade like crazy. I’m getting to all the spots I couldn’t before and haven’t fell off yet ( knock on wood). I think this is pretty great and if you’re thinking about it just do it. Highly recommended for physical fitness and mental well being . Seat is crazy comfortable and I could sit in it all day.. I can’t wait to go out again… the storage , the stability, the price and mostly the quality is a win where I’m from.

Great product. Room for improvement with shipping.
Love the kayak.Shipping through NSD was not a good experience. Was supposed to arrive on a Tuesday and it never was marked out for delivery. It was delivered the next day which was not too bad. Once I opened the seat it was damaged. A new seat replacement is 164 dollars and Amazon gave me 126 dollars credit. All in all it worked out.

This is a review I will ad to as I use the kayak but hear is what i learned so far...
Its light...Its very stable...very solidly built...It has an incredible amount of room on the deck front and back...Awesome color I got the titanium...The seat was a huge selling point...I love that it flips down to let me ride higher but when I do this I will need a seat pad I can tell you that...All the straps are very easily setup...so are the handles and the having the scupper is such a plus! Great front Pelican Hood Ornament on it as well....Overall if I gave a perfect rating before using something I would have done that but I will ad to my review as I use it a few times. Adding a little bit to the review...I bought a double Rad kayak hanging systems for the rafters of my garage and it works great...the kayak was very easy to lift into position...It was light...stable with 2 straps both wrapped all the way around it...I love this kayak...I will ad more to the review as I use it more...Thank you

Extremely Disappointed – Safety Hazard and Loss of Gear
I was really excited about purchasing the Pelican Catch Mode 110 after saving up for quite some time. I took it out for its first use, purchased new through Amazon, and was looking forward to making memories with my girlfriend. Unfortunately, things went terribly wrong. While paddling through the mangroves, the kayak started taking on water unexpectedly. I managed to paddle to a sandbar, but eventually, the kayak capsized due to the amount of water in it. It took me 30-45 minutes to try and drain it out, injuring myself in the process. But as I was heading back to the ramp, it began taking on water again, and I ended up flipping over completely. I lost all my gear, including my phone, which is essential for both work and personal life. The worst part is that bystanders on a nearby boat saw us struggling and came to assist. I was exhausted and could have drowned if not for their help. A local park ranger also came out to assist. This was an extremely traumatic experience, and I feel devastated not just by the loss of my gear, but by how unsafe the kayak was during its first use.I am reaching out to Pelican directly to resolve this, but I wanted to share this experience here so others are aware of the potential issues with this kayak.
