Been having this knife for about 2 years now and i’d say it is amazing! I just sharpen it here and there once in a while

I compared this to my coworkers Mastumoto Kiritsuke and this has much less curve. This knife is more like a Bunka. It's still very good for the price. I still recommend getting it. If anything it'll add to your versatility of knives if you're still gonna buy a Kiritsuke. I think I like the Bunka better anyway. It has much flatter edge.

Good weighting, balanced cutting.

Great quality knife. No bending or flexing and cuts through hard sourdough like a pro.

The knives look great, are very sharp, well balanced, and wood grain is beautiful. However, a couple of things, first, and most obvious, the sticky brown residue on the blade. I am glad I opened the package to inspect before I wrapped them for a gift. Secondly, the cap at the end of the handle is not smooth on the edges connected to the wood and are not flush with the handle. I provided a zoomed in pic of the handle end. I purchased three knives of this set and all of the handles are this way. Another knife wasn't sticky, but had sharpening dust residue clumped in the hammered texture. All of this can probably be solved with a good wash, bit when you purchase something new, the expectation is that the item will be clean and presentable. I would have been embarrassed if I had given the as the gift and that person opened a dirty set of knives.

Got this for my mom for christmas and she loves it!

Great knife for an intermediate chef. Wish they sold these as complete sets.
