OMG absolutely unbelievable!! My attention was absorbed by it and my heart adored it. My brain shocked and cried from that ending! THAT CLIFFHANGER OMG. Absolutely obsessed.

It's written slightly differently than previous Sarah J Mass books and it took me a while to get used to this world, even after reading the first book but... The ending was amazing. Brilliant cliff hangers, can't wait to read the next one.

Sarah's writing has improved over the years. Her 'Crescent City' series is uniformly excellent. The first two books in this series are excellent value in paperback at £5.50 each. I'm not sure about the third book, 'House Of Flame And Shadow', which, although excellent, is also much more expensive.

Just go and buy it. This entire series deserves more than 5 stars.Bryce is her own character but i love the way she feels like Aeline too.Clever, hilarious, gripping, leave you needing more, plot twists and then the last sentence will have you RUNNING for CC3. I would recommend you buy it in advance.

Sarah j maas does it again !Griping read, fantastic characters, intense plot and of course the cross over was absolutely worth it... those last 100 pages makes you want to get to the last book immediately!The talent of this author is incredible, I love every single one of her books

However, with an order from the Asteri to lie low or endure a penalty of death, the crew must carve out a strategy where the stakes are high, the game is at a different level, and the people only too willing to betray the daughter of the King of the Autumn Court too numerous. Ignoring the request from her father to strengthen the alliance with the House of Avallen, by marrying Cormac, her cousin, Bryce is left isolated except for her lover and ‘mate’ Hunt and brother Ruhn.Tormenting, imaginative, spellbinding, a fabulous case of brinkmanship, and totally immersive. A book I read over two days and up to ‘stupid o’clock’ in the morning to finish, because I hankered to know how it would all end, and what an ending it was - but no spoilers here!!!! And my advice is please do not read reviews that contain spoilers because the element of surprise will leave you speechless.

A loud, enthusiastic shout-out for Ruhn also. I mean chapter 3 floored me in the best way, phew, and he oozes sex yet will make you laugh – the perfect combo. That ending though. I screamed, I reread and then screamed again. SJM give me the next book NOW!!! Why is there no date for the next instalment?!? Highly recommend everything about this book.
