snugpak products
I have given this response pak a five star rating, as i would with any of the Snugpak range, that i have purchased over the years, due to the quality materials, workmanship and thought, that have gone into these products.before buying the response pak, which is my latest addition, i read and considered all of the reviews on Amazon, about poor stitching, gaps left in the zips, to small for some to large for others, so on..it all depends on what your looking for and how much your willing to spend.i got my pak from Daleswear ltd, through Amazon who together, delivered my pak two days before the estimated date which was great, thanks both..When my pak arrived i checked it out thouroughly. The stitching is excellent, the matirial, size and weight is perfect ( for me ) and one added bonus, the four main pockets now come with twin zips which have little branded toggles on the end of the para cord pullers ( not shown in the pictures ).As others have mentioned, the pak is not waterproof but you can put any moisture sensitive content into zip lock bags first, as i would with any bag, just as a precation.as for size, i use mine to carry; first aid kit and foil blanket in one side pocket. Phone, wallet and cigarettes in the other side pocket. front pocket has; 2cell AA Maglite in its holster, Victorinox pen knife, Summit lighter, Parker slinger pen, a bunch of keys, some ziplock bags and a Light my fire titanium spork. the main pocket holds my Hat, sunglasses, Sony handycam in its waterproof case, Light my fire, fire knife in its sheath and a maya stick. There is still room for more!!The fold away strap on the back is also extendable and long enough for you to wear the item over your shoulder or across your body if you prefere, if like me you dont like carrying around your waste.all in all its a fantastic product, thanks Snugpak, thanks Daleswear and thanks again AmazonThanks readers and happy adventures....

Great little pac
The snugpak response pak arrived yesterday and I am really impressed, it is a really nice bit of kit. You can fit a wide range of items in this pack, considering how small it is. I tested it straight away by using it for horse riding and I can confirm that it is perfect for wearing around the waist when you are hacking out on horseback, which is what I purchased this for. Inside the pack, I can fit a spare lead rope, mobile phone, survival aids, medium sized soft pouch first aid kit, hoof pick and many other items. AN ordnance survey map (heavy gauge waterproof type) can fit very easily into this pack. It has fantastic zips and the whole pack seems very well constructed. This pack can also be attached to other packs and can also have other pouches added onto it, so don’t worry this is very much MOLLE compatible. One can also fit an MSR pocket rocket and gas canister inside, water bottle and under the pack I can sling a poncho and other useful items for when I want to use this when not on horseback. I am giving this a five start review as I can’t fault it. It is nowhere close to the level of ruggedness you would expect from such gear brands as Maxpedition, but for under £25, you can’t go wrong with this.

Smaller
Smaller than I expected… I can just about get a hard shell waterproof in the main compartment leaving very little room in the others to get edc kit in. The ends are ok for small kit like a pocket knife, Mobile phone or fire lighting kit.Useful as a waist bag and easily fixed to my day sack.

Good in parts
It's a good bag for the price but the material is rather thin and the zips very chunky in comparison. One good point is that the zips are double ended with a puller at each end so that you're less likely to lose items due to a zip not being completely closed. The big drawback for me was the position of the waist strap which is too low on the pack. This results in the pack gaping open with the risk of the contents spilling out if you forget to close the compartment zips completely. One solution would be to remove the waist strap and resew it on higher up or to use a belt that goes through the concealed rear pocket. I added two 'D' rings to the top of mine so I could attach a shoulder strap. The Maxpedition PROTEUS VERSIPACK may be a better option if you care to spend the extra money. It's from the USA so isn't as cheap as the Response Pak but the waist strap looks a little higher, the quality looks better, it's more waterproof and the design looks more carefully thought out.

Small, well concealed and not for those who want largeness!
This really is an excellent and flexible bag(ish) holder of one's everyday stuff. In all honesty it's a bumbag masquerading as a proper man-bag. The only disappointing thing is that it isn't a real over-the-shoulder bag but with a little imagination you can modify the waist strap to act as a shoulder strap. Or you can do the whole special forces style and pretend you're an extra in SWAT or similar not caring about fashion or what other's think and wear it like a cross shoulder to waist utility bag, on a mission with your smart phone, lighter, Ipad and pack of tissues.... but little room for much else! It's fun but don't expect to carry more than those few items although it does expand a little to perhaps allow you some space for hand cleanser! ;o) It is, however, very cheap so don't complain that you haven't got enough room for a travelling stove and poncho while hiking in the Andean foothills! it'll do for us urban warriors who need big zips and loops to hang stuff from with our non-climbing carabiners! Call me cynical but i'm really not complaining because, i'm creative, but if you want something to go over your shoulder.... think again!

Gute Tasche
Gute Tasche, ist zwar schon meine 2. weil bei der ersten einige Nähte aufrissen, aber die Tasche hatte ich schon ein paar Jahre. Also zu empfehlen.

I use it for travellling abroad - Review updated
Review updated to 5 stars after using it on a four day portaging trip through Algonquin park. I fit an entire survival system, including an emergency fire kit, first aid, Mora Kansbol, Bacho Laplander, SOL bivy, plastic rain poncho, and still had room for 2 cliff bars, 4 instant coffees, GORP, and hygiene essentials. It's rugged, has a good buckle, is Molle compatible, sheds water (not water proof), and fits cross body which is easier for me to hike with than wearing it around the waist.
