These appear to do what they say - however Chris' misfortune answered my questionDC Converters in this form factor tend to be isolating - these AREN'T - they're straight boost converters, meaning the 2 black wires are JOINED INTERNALLYSo if you're reading this Chris do NOT use these for positive-ground vehicles!

didnt work for me
used to increase voltage to a 12volt fandidn't work caused system issues and made the product installed on start to glitchso removed would not recommend

Can’t handle more than 2 amp which it is rated for. It would be nice if it could handle 3 amp since it is a large package

Imballo idoneo - spedizione veloce - Digiten convertitore step-up 6V DC input da 5 a 11V output 12V 2A di DIGITEN - dimensioni 40 x 22 x 58 mm - ho provato a mandare in input una tensione di 6.18 V e in uscita ho misurato 12.18 V, fa quello che promette, come corrente massima in uscita dichiara 2 A, dunque è capace di erogare 24W di potenza a 12 V; ha un involucro stagno pertanto potrebbe essere esposto agli elementi. Per 13 € questo stepup converter da 6 V a 12 V è veramente da consigliare.

Very cheap way to boost voltage in vintage car
Very inexpensive way to boost the voltage to the replacement LED brake lights of my 1981 Fiat X1/9. The weak 9.7 volts at the back of the car was boosted to 12 volts without any major issues.
