Lovely quality brush. Looking forward to more painting with this one.

Great brush

Holds water well and isn't overly floppy. However I have to agree with a few other reviews I saw for this brush. It does smell like goat's urine mixed with other farm "aromas". The stench was on my hands after I took it from the package, and was on my desk after laying it down briefly. Needless to say I had to give my hands a good wash and my desk a good clean. Then I gave the entire brush a good wash with vinegar, soap, and then another wash with a zoflora disinfectant wash for good measure, before a final rinse with clean water. There's an ever so slight whiff of the farm still on it, but at least I know it's cleaner and hopefully, the residual smell will wear off with time. Apart from that, happy with the functionality of the brush so far, and it hasn't shed any hairs that I've noticed.

Very pleased with the brush which I use to apply shellac. Good quantity and quality of hair in a well made brush.

As a beginner to water colours have been following the cds collection of Frank Clarke's "simply painting". He uses mostly this brush for his washes so was delighted to find it at such a good price especially as those in art shops where so expensive. Would definitely recommend this item.

for the money paid the brush is disappointing it is cheaply made very soft wood no surface protection, bare wood and water is a no no. splinters left on edges and the hole was not debured the bristles are not well prepared some have fallen out while i was examining the brush , i am keeping the brush i will apply my own wood sealant and clean up the edges the brush might be the best hake brush out there but would i buy again no i will look at alternatives for a wash brush might try B AND Q

Overall happy, brush regains its shape when wet and can hold quite a lot of water/paint

Hab' alle drei Größen, die hier verfügbar sind, gekauft. Zuerst einmal lagen, bzw. hingen sie nur rum, aber es kam der Zeitpunkt, da ich sie brauchen konnte. Die Pinselhaare legen sich schön flach hin beim malen und auch, wenn sie wieder trocknen sollen. Sehr gut für größere Flächen, gröbere Arbeiten und gleichzeitig auch feinere, schmale Striche.

Finally a hake brush that doesn’t keave loose hairs all over painting surface

Tout est dans le titre. L'empereur des pinceaux plats. Ne perd pas ses poils, permet toutes les déformations pour des effets aquarelles superbes. Perso, j'ai toutes les tailles et je ne saurais plus peindre sans eux.
