Q: What are the weights for the sizes?

Thank you for this question! It is critical to mention, first, that this harness is fit by measurement rather than size. This is because dogs of similar weights may have very different body shapes, and this harness does need to fit very snug. We do not recommend choosing a size based on weight. With that being said, we do have guidelines for the size certain weight ranges typically fall within. These can be seen here- Small 15-25 lbs. Medium 25-50 lbs. Medium/Large 40-65 lbs. Large 65-95 lbs.

I have a Boxer and he’s about 75 lbs . This was recommended by our trainor and works well .

Since I don't know what your dog does to let you know, it is somewhat difficult to answer. My dog, who has free reign in our back yard, does her thing. When we walk, I try to make sure she has done her "duty" before we go. However, once she waited until we were walking, walked over to the grass, stopped and did her duty. I had no indication prior to this that she need to go. Just make sure if you go out for a walk that you take a plastic bag to be eco friendly and pick up the "deposit" from that stranger's yard. I hope this helps you. Walking with the harness is so much easier than with just the leash - no tugging and straining (rather difficult when our dog weights 36 pounds). It felt like we were walking together instead of her pulling and straining. I could not believe the difference.
