Good Budget Amp Overall
This amp does an alright job. I have a hard time believing it actually is outputting 200 watts because compared to a 120 watt per channel amplifier this amp does not produce as clean and loud of bass when the gains are set to maximum before clipping point. But the comparison amp is, well, about 4 times the price of this so... to be expected, I guess. But a watt should be a watt.Anywho, for what it is, I think it's a good value. Stupid spider logo but I keep this and the 5-channel version of this as a backup amp just in case and they have served me well recently while my finicky expensive as sin amps are being repaired in California.I'd personally not use this for a subwoofer but I suppose you can if in a pinch, maybe for a few 8" woofers.I should not that the turn on for this is delayed almost 3-seconds. This means it turns on about 1 second after its 5-channel brother which is really goofy. I don't get why there is a difference in turn on delay within the same model line. Also these come with a round head screw on the bottom that should have been a flat head screw - it doesn't sit flush against a piece of wood. I changed out the screws and problem solved but that was a stupid oversight by Soundstream. Just stupid.
