Good quality boxset, all discs work on laptop
I know from reviews that sometimes the all inclusive box sets include duplicate discs and / or missing epsiodes, and in my own experience, some seasons just don't work when the other ones in the same set are fine. I have tested all of the discs within a week of receiving them, and can confirm that all of the epiosdes are here, and they all work with an external DVD drive and laptop. There are a few minor problems with the set which are:- Season 2: the discs are numbered out of sequence, but all of the episodes are there. (Season 1 shows discs 1-5, Season 2 shows discs 2-7, everything after that is sequential)- Season 3: it is very difficult to selet an episode. If you have a traditional TV with plug in DVD player, it might be easier to select the one you want but I haven't tested it. If you are using a laptop, you can still select an episode by selecting the specific part of the DVD in the video playback software's controls (see screen shot for doing this with VLC). It is annoying, but quick to do once you are used to it- Seasons 6 and 9: some of the episodes have been listed the wrong way round on the DVD cover leaflet, but they appear to be in the right order on the disc.- Season 9: Unskippable anti piracy advert (unless you skip to the right part of the disc as in season 3).The DVD cases seem sturdy and the disc designs are nice (except for season 2 which is just plain black with incorrect disc numbers printed on them). Each season has a different style of menu and episode selection.

Good TV Show not so good packaging
OK Just to get the four stars out of the way. External cardboard covering holding the packaging together was much stronger cardboard and if it opened from the side this would have gotten five stars but the outside cover is very light and flimsy cardboard. If I could get a better case for it I would jump at it.On to the rest. The menus are very good. Each season has a different animation and menu system which makes this very interesting. Some animations in the menus are of the stargate and some are of an office but animate with every selection. The TV show is of a team of four Navy Seals Captain Jack O Neal , Samantha Carter . Daniel Jackson and Teal'c which comes from Tulak. They all go on exploration for new Allies and new technologies to other worlds through the stargate. Each time they go through the stargate they have a new adventure and they either are met with danger , intrigue , mystery or new allies.I have been a long time fan of this show and for years I was on the fence of buying the box set because I was waiting and hoping that it would be released on Blu Ray. I started watching the show on TV and up to about a year ago I still watched it on TV. I didn't realise that the DVD box set was going to be in 16:9 which is also a reason why I was hesitant because on TV they had it in 4:3 even on the HD channels. Now beware the first two seasons are in 2.0 Stereo and all the rest of the seasons are in 5.1 Surround with some seasons being in 2/3.1 dolby. The box set also comes with ARK of Truth and Continuum films which is a bonus.Another reason for the Four Stars is some of the disks aren't correctly marked so its hard to tell what season the disks are from. I learned that Season two has all black discs but they don't have any marking on them depicting what disc number or season they are. I am only at season 2 of the box set yet though.Other than that this is a good boxset with some flaws.

Great full set
Brilliant box set, my only gripe is a various long winded menus to get to select an episode. These sets were not designed for binge watching. But brill isn’t product

Too soon to tell you as I’ve not watched them all!!
Your request to review is far too soon!! I don’t binge watch multiple episodes so am only a fraction of the way through it. It is a very good series and I liked it when it was first broadcast hence why I bought it. The DVDs have said “skipping error” a few times but hasn’t ruined any episodes. SG is my fave series alongside ST Next Gen. Many thanks for prompt/efficient delivery.

Wish I had bought it sooner
I loved the original Stargate movie and the two subsequent ones. I avoided SG-1 when it first came out because I was pretty committed to Star Trek generally and I bought all of those on VHS when they first came out. I'm not one to watch shows like this on TV. I was chatting with a couple of friends recently, who were gobsmacked that I had never bought it and instructed me to go and buy it immediately! So I checked on Amazon to see what was available. The WHOLE 10 season box-set was just too much to resist so I snapped it up. I am absolutely delighted with it in terms of concept and it remains as faithful as it can be to the original movie - even Daniel Jackson looks similar! The stories and characters are so much fun and varied and I am now half-way through the 10 seasons. Note that the image quality is pretty poor on a HD TV (or 32 inch 1440p monitor in my case) in the first season (especially dark scenes) due to technology of those days. But as I progress through the seasons it improves substantially and by season 4 and 5 it is what you would expect from DVD's limitations. It doesn't spoil the enjoyment at all. I thoroughly recommend it and I have even now bought Stargate Atlantis on Blu-Ray as a result! Thoroughly recommended to any Stargate or Sci-Fi fans.
