Inspired!
Immaculee has out done herself in this new book and I am so grateful that she has taken the time to articulate her thoughts on this subject. The book is perfect for believers of any age or level of understanding. In it's chapters, Immaculee walks you through her own journey of discovery as she recounts her personal experiences of introduction to and growth in understanding the tradition of the Rosary. Her prose is inspired and inviting. She outlines the basics for those who are unfamiliar with the mechanics behind the prayer but she also provides an in depth review of each one of the twenty mysteries in an unintended rhythmic fashion that is so beautiful it is hard not to be in awe of her deep and abiding faith. This book would be an excellent gift for anyone who loves to read and would like to know more about this Catholic practice. I intend to buy additional copies for my family and friends. I am especially anxious to share it with my nieces, age 10 - 18, who I believe will benefit greatly from the positive messages of peace, forgiveness, gratitude, love, trust and faith. Thank you Immaculee! May God bless you always!!!

A very inspiring book
This book.is easy to read. It tells the story of a young woman caught up.in a rebellion.between two tribes in Rwanda. She hid in a small bathroom and, through her prayers of the Rosary was able to save her life. Through this prayer she was also able to.forgive those who had murdered her family.

Lovely book that carries a deeper meaning of the Rosary and its impacts...
I am about halfway finished with this book, but I just love it. It is making me really think about many things. It is wonderfully evident that Immaculee has a deep love for Mary - Mother of God. Her stories of her as a child often make me smile and laugh. I am technically Methodist but have loved to carry and pray the Rosary for a long time but feel I am understanding it better and better as I read her book. I bought the hard cover as a keep sake and am reading the kindle version every night.

It will deepen your prayer life
I've read the book and when I pray the rosary I go to her book and read one of the descriptions of the mysteries. I do one everyday.I've started praying all 20 mysteries a couple months ago and Mary has been very generous in her healing toward me.This is a must read for anyone looking for more answers to help the condition of our world. One of the other things that I like about it is--The Rosary is not just for Catholics. Immaculee has all the instructions of how to recite the Rosary in her book.

Life Changing
I was looking for a book that would be good for giving out with rosaries. A book that could lend as a guide to those who are new to praying the rosary. This book exceeded my expectations. Not only does she lay out the prayers of the rosary, and the order of saying the rosary, but she adds her personal journey. Her journey of her upbringing & her experience of survival during the Rwanda genocide was not just extraneous information to create a story. It was purposeful in explaining the depth of her faith, her prayers, her struggles, and how indeed the rosary saved her life. The author did a beautiful job of also referencing scripture, and reminding the reader to take the time to look more into the scriptures and mysteries so that when we pray, we are able to truly meditate and have reverence for Jesus.I will definitely be purchasing this book for each of my family members. I soaked it up and also have her book "Left to Tell" to read , which I am not glad that I read this one first.

powerful story
Immaculee's experience is magnificent and a powerful testimony of faith and God's work. The writing is not perfect, but that's not the purpose of the book, so I guess that's fine.

A horrifying story that lead to a deeper faith
Immature starts with how she learned to say the Rosary. Then her rosary test and how she helped others pass, in order to be confirmed. Next was her experience in an Adventist college, and her trying to (though not always successfully) to say the daily rosary. Most difficult due to the atmosphere and the Rosary wasn't highly thought of among Adventists. Then she went to a school with higher standards and aced the entrance exam. This school was more tolerant of the Rosary. She then briefly tells of the apparitions at Kibeho. Then after the holiday with her family she went into hiding in a pastor's bathroom (who was a Hutu and she was the enemy of many Hutus, being a Tutsis). She sat scared as people looked around to kill her, and tempted to give herself up, telling them where she was. She then said the Rosary. The last half of the book is on the mysteries of the Rosary, giving scripture (if possible) where the mystery is found, and concluding with further reflections then a prayer she may have said after the mystery in the bathroom. After 91 days she left with some French who were supposed to take her to safety, but she ran into Hutus eager to kill her. However, with the love and forgiveness she had in her eyes, they walked away. After 4 years she moved to America and got a job at the U.N. Today she is a speaker about the Rosary and her experiences.
