This is a really excellent little book, much more concise than many others that I have used, and most importantly, it is aimed at students with relatively low levels of English. Great buy
Great teaching tool. Well priced,and I encourage my students to invest in this book. My only criticism would be that the speakers on the CD should sound a little more polite, however this is a very well put together self study book.

Very good book for elementary and intermediate level students (even though it says A1/A2 level). Very good dialogues for reception and restaurant staff. A bit less for housekeeping. A lot of vocabulary and ready made sentences. Very good CDs. If there were some dialogues for housekeeping and maintenance people to deal with customers, it would be perfect. So far the best book I found to teach English to hotel staff. Recommended.

Very good book. Really helped me to improve my vocabulary. I just start working in hospitality so because I had no experience I was feeling a bit "necked" :). Not after I read this book. Thank you Mr Seymour

It is brilliant! Very easy to use
I bought this book for my students who are learning English (as beginners) and work in the hotels here in Austria. It is brilliant! Very easy to use, simple, covers all aspects of hotel and its amazing value for money with a CD for under 12 pounds. I have had to order another copy its so good. Thanks, a real life saver!

CD FROZE whilst playing
Book was great. CD didn’t play. The bits that played seemed really interesting.Keeps freezing and very low quality. I was more interested in CD since my Guest house is in Africa some illustrations in books weren’t applicable And conversion from German to English was difficult with the CD Emailed and gave my information And problem but sadly didn’t get any response.

Das Grundlevel bewegt sich meiner Meinung nach auf Niveau A 2. Trotzdem ist es erstaunlich, wie man mit nur einigen Grundkenntnissen und noch einigen wenigen fachspezifischen Formulierungen für jede Situation gut vorbereitet wird. Alle Themen sind gut erfasst: Reservierung, Empfang, Telefonate, Zimmerservice, Reinigung, Restaurant, Bar, aus-checken. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der Höflichkeit der Formulierungen. 2 CDs, glasklar gesprochenes English. Das Lehrbuch ist wunderbar gegliedert und aufgebaut. Fazit: Ja, es gibt sie noch, die guten Lehrwerke die wirklich was bringen, nicht auf sinnlose Gaudi ausgelegt und trotzdem interessant und ansprechend dargestellt sind. Für Hotelpersonal ein absolutes Muß, für den geneigten Urlauber und Hotelgast ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert, wenn er sein Englisch für typische Hotelsituationen auffrischen oder generell erlernen möchte.

Davvero un bel libro, fatto bene, con tanti dialoghi reperibili e scaricabili facilmente online sul sito della casa editrice Collins. Ci sono tanti esercizi da fare sia scritti che parlati con le loro soluzioni alla fine del libro. Sono molte le situazioni presentate: dal check-in al check-out, scrivere emails, cambi di prenotazione. cancellazioni etc Un libro completo che aiuta a definire meglio le conversazioni che possono avvenire con gli ospiti di un hotel. Lo consiglio.

Very general, and little behind the times, this series is a good introduction to some of the British language a non-English speaker either needs or will encounter in the hotel business. It does present American English terms as well and provides two CDs to practice listening and speaking.
