I got this for an inside footprint for my tent to reduce friction on the basin and ideally extend the life of my tent, and maybe add some warmth with the thermal/reflective coated side. It worked great all around and is thick, but it is a bit crinkly and noisy. After putting down my sleeping pads and a blanket on top of it them, it wasn’t noisy at all though. I’m not sure sleeping directly on it or using it as a blanket would be quiet enough. Perfect for an emergency. Also, lightweight and comes with a pouch for it.

A decent reflective tarp. I wish there were more than just 4 grommets, but for the size and what I use it for, it's ample. It's a good quality and reflects a decent amount of heat back for the $10 that I paid!

I probably am using this for an unintended purpose compared to what most people will use it for.I have an astrophotography set up to shoot both the stars and the sun. This requires hooking up my computer to my telescope to help guide it and to take pictures. This poses no real problem at night, but when trying to take sun photos during the day, I can't easily see my screen. The solution is to put the computer in a black storage bin on its side, but to get the best experience, I need to cut out all light, hence this blanket.I specifically wanted one that was black and silver to cover the variety of situations I'll be in to shoot the sun. If it's warm out, I can put the silver side out to reflect the heat a bit so that I do not cook. If I shoot in the winter, I can have the silver side in in order to absorb radiant heat and keep it in, thus helping keep me warm during the session.So, for these purposes, this works great. And if I really get in trouble while shooting the sun, I can use this as an survival blanket!

Picked these up to cover the mesh on a dome tent, took 4 of them. They preformed lots better than expected. It was low 30’s at night. With just 2 little space heaters on low. The tent easily stayed above 65 deg. One space heater was even cycling on and off. Just as a reference, before using these the tent would barely manage 48 degs with heaters on high. They reflected the heat back nicely. Will buy again if I ever need more.

I haven’t used this tarp yet but it seems like it will do the job. It is made very well and it’s a good size and a great price.

It's exactly what it says it is and feels sturdy as the tie downs. It hasn't seen an hard wind so I can't speak to its strength but at a glance it looks like it will do the job.

In the Australian weather the White-Silver version did a perfect job. We use it to cover our Guinea Pigs, and they don't feel the heat under this blanket anymore, but they are getting some light through the material! If we cover their cage, we are actually blinded from the reflection every time, so if you need a reflective blanket this one is perfect!

I bought two of these blankets for multiple uses--not just for an emergency blanket, but to use as an emergency shelter to keep us dry, to reflect heat back off the top of my vehicle, mosquito tent, and balcony doors to keep areas cool.However, because there are only grommets on each corner, that makes multiple uses difficult without having the additional grommets. Sad, because this product is very strong, durable, the grommet holes are strongly reinforced, and is overall a great product. That's why I gave it only 4/5 starts.Manufacturer needs to add more grommets. If so, I think sales would go up.
