Long bristles we work great!
Finally a brush that gets through my dog's thick long fur! My Aussies love to chew on each other's manes. I brush often to avoid mars but regular slicker brushes did nothing and the metal bristle brushes had bristles too far apart that allowed for mats. My Aussie has a double coat with thick fur like that of a Keeshond or a Husky. The brush also works well on my other Aussie with curly hair. (Yeah, I know they aren't supposed to have curly hair, but she does.). It gets through her ringlets and helps her look more like an Aussie and less like a wooly sheep. The comb that is included works well to clean out the brush as well as comb my dog. As long as I don't leave the brush where my Aussies can destroy it, this brush is well made and should last a long time.

Makes grooming easier.
I really liked both the brush and comb. They make Grooming so much easier. I use a dog detailer also while Grooming him which helps too. Both seem well made. Definitely great for Goldendoodles.

Bear-No-More
I have a 97 pound Bouvier des Flandres. He is a massive, black, lump of fluff that loves rolling in grass, kicking up dirt, and generally getting into mayhem.Because he is so active, he's a hotbed for knots, tanglies, and a really messy undercoat.I had tried many different grooming tools to deal with his nonsense - a rake comb, regular combs, pin brushes, retractable wire brushes, you name it - and then I hear about the legendary "slicker brush". While I love my dogs very much, I already groom them myself to save on money, and I couldn't justify buying THAT brush (you know which one I'm talking about) without testing one out first, so I figured "what the heck" and bought this one.And yes, slicker brushes were the holy grail I was looking for. While combing him (especially the rake comb) did deal with his undercoat, it also tended to rip out his hair, which was uncomfortable and made his coat look spotty in some places from the damage. I hated doing it to him too. The slicker brush just acted like a normal brush, but took out gobs and gobs of hair without that same ripping effect - and because of that, my Bouvier was much more comfortable and less prone to whining or running away during brushing sessions. I was shocked how effective it was - and for a much lower price than the name brand one!As for the quality of the brush, it's all good stuff. I love the color, I love the way the brush feels (it's like a dry silicone-like feeling - very smooth without being slick), and the pins are sturdy. I haven't had one fall out or move out of place yet.The only downside would be the fact that it's not SUPER easy to clean, but I found that moving my hand against the grain of the pins got out my Bouvier's fur effectively. There might be an easier way, but this way worked well for me! I've tried the retractable brushes before, and while it was easy to clean, the amount of undercoat brushed off each time is WAY higher with this brush, so it's worth it to me to clean it off more often for less overall grooming time. My dog appreciates it too. :)

Good for bigger dogs
Works, but too big for a small dog. Had to purchase another product

I love it, knots are history
Works great, just as good as the more expensive counter parts. Would recommend for any long hair curly dog
