My L77 loppers have seen heavy use and occasional misuse for thirteen years. I bought them to help fight my way into a large, overgrown garden when I moved house. It has tackled yew, bramble, ash and holly branches up to 50mm diameter. They are light yet sturdy. The oval section handles seem insubstantial, but show no signs of fatigue or cracking. The power gear claim is no gimmick, the effort required to cut through the toughest branches is much reduced as a result. When recently the blade showed signs of age and failed to cut cleanly I expected to have to buy a replacement. This proved unnecessary as. The anvil, blade and retaining screws can be bought separately for one third the price of a new pair of loppers. Fitted in minutes this renders the loppers brand new once more. Highly recommended.

We bought these to replace a worn out set that was purchased many years ago. We use them all year in huge jobs and they are the best. Spray with WD40 before and after using to keep them rust free and they wont let you down. The effortlessly snip through fairly thick branches. Like all loppers, they are designed for new cutting and not old stored branches. Light in weight and cutting clean is their strength. If the orange handles come loose, just pop them back on with a shot of superglue. We have 3 sets in use currently and despite trying, nothing matches the performance.

I bought these loppers many years ago. So long ago that I can't remember how many years. They worked very well, no problem! Very light and powerful. What is more, sometimes I would put the handles between my knees so that I could force them to cut through branches much thicker than the recommended limit. Maybe a year ago they started to get blunt and wouldn't cut properly. I tried sharpening; no good. The blade and anvil must be an exact fit for them to work properly. I was about to throw them away when I thought about replacement parts. Wonderful purchase! Here I go again, lol, lop lop!!!

These loppers are compact and lightweight, but the gearing mechanism enables them to cut through branches up to an inch thick (depending on the hardness of the material). A very useful addition to the gardening arsenal.
