Excellent all round.
I spent a while searching around for a decent and sturdy pruning saw as I need to cut a small(ish) conifer tree. Originally I looked at the folding pruning saws but they weren’t quite long enough, nor did they look sturdy enough. I realised the overall length meant you could get a fixed pruning saw without sacrificing blade length for the fold ability, plus something more sturdy. This is an excellent pruning saw and swiftly saw it’s way through the base of the trunk about 10” across. Very easy to cut, with the usual cutting on the pull back. Not once did it catch, flex or felt incapable. It’s first use, so oiled up and stored away, but teeth look like new still. A worthy purchase that handled 3 hours of pretty much non-stop cutting. While the handle is soft but firm, I wore gloves as an added precaution.

GRÜNTEK Barracuda 30cm garden saw
Bought for cutting down various over grown shrubs in garden, did the research and read the reviews and chose this 30cm blade over small ones for more efficient and comfortable cutting.Saw works well now that it's been used a few times on trees and shrubs cutting through 20 branches upto around 6cm thick but will be used to cut a 20cm thick small tree later on. Sharpness is the same after usage at the moment. The rear section of the handle in green as shown in the pic is of a softer rubber material, the yellow section where the 2 screws hold the blade in position is made of hard plastic, making it comfortable to use and grip. The protective case is made of hard plastic and is gravity fit, meaning the saw will fall out if its turned upside down; this could have been much better if it was made friction fit as the saw rattles around in the case when its clipped onto the belt.Good performance and value for an annual tidy up for gardeners.

Not as good as I had hoped
I already have hand saws and one of those folding pruning saws (Gruntek make one - check it out). I wanted something in between that would cut through thick tree branches (10cm or thicker). I tried this out and it was really quite uncomfortable to saw with it for any length of time, and was slower cutting than a regular saw I have which is 8 years old (and has been abused, somewhat). The folding pruning saw I have (looks the same as the Gruntek folding saw) is a lot shorter but much more comfortable to hold and it cuts through the branches faster too.I found the blade, because it is thicker, didn't get stuck in the branch while cutting - which the folding pruning saw and standard saw do get stuck if I'm not careful in cutting straight - but it just seems it needs a lot of effort to get the teeth to take away much wood with each stroke. So I won't be reaching for this tool very often, to be honest.

Pruning saw
I am in a job where I sometimes in need to cut back a branch or 2 and need a handy saw that I can carry and will cut most branches with ease so I bought this one and it has done well for the price but I will probably buy a more stronger version blade is sharp enough its just a bit flimsy at times but still a good saw though it's helped a few times when I needed it.

Efficient bit of kit
I had to prune out some dead branches on a couple of trees in my garden before bird nesting season began. The branches were between a diameter of 1cm to 7cm. The saw was easy to use, lightweight and sharp. I got through the job quickly.

So so..
I suppose my wood was damp when I used this saw and this made it hard work. I found it much easier in the end to use my heavy duty cutters for 20-25mm branches. Probably OK on dry wood, but I wouldn't want to use on anything thicker than 30mm
