This saves me every time I get up from my pottery wheel, I can use it to stabilize myself with my forearm since my hands are slippery. The added pool noodle is for cushion for that purpose. 5 stars. Literally sturdy as can be!!

Bought 2. One on each side of French door frame. My parents have this 7” step up to the kitchen from the Living Room. These are a great for helping my mother up and down that step. Gives my brother and I peace of mind when not around.

I needed something to hold on to, to enter my home from the garage. This has made my life so much easier without having to worry about asking for help.

The screws that come with the kit are longer than most small drill bits and that complicates installation.

A bar to help me out of my shower

I installed the handle on the outside frame of a sliding glass door just before 2 steps that lead out to our porch. It allows my mother to brace herself when she steps down to the porch or up to the house. Then it quickly folds up out of the way for the rest of us (at least until I get old enough that I need it too). The handle itself is plenty sturdy. Mounting it on wood framing is easy, but I had concrete block. To avoid it pulling the screws out of the block because of lateral torque, I was able to glue and bolt a piece of wood to the concrete and then attach the handle. Maybe someone who really knows how to use concrete screws could skip adding the wood, but my results were good.
