I’ve tried several castor oil brands over the years, but this J•MAC Botanicals Organic Castor Oil stands out immediately for its purity and thickness. It’s cold-pressed, hexane-free, and USDA organic—so I feel confident using it on my hair, skin, and even eyebrows. The oil comes in a generous 16 oz amber glass bottle, which helps preserve its potency. I use it as a nightly scalp massage treatment and have already noticed stronger hair and less breakage in just a few weeks. It’s also great for dry skin patches and even helps soothe my cuticles! No strong odor, no weird additives—just clean, rich, high-quality castor oil.

The black plastic lid came broken, even though the shrink seal for security was intact and a quarter of the bottle was empty. Adding to this, the oil had a very weird pungent smell that is like gasoline! I use castor oil (another brand) for wraps on my body a daily basis so I’m very familiar with its smell. I’m not sure if this is a sign of hexane… Anyways, I’ll throw the bottle away and won’t risk using it on my body as I’m concerned about the quality and purity of this product.

Organic and price is right. What else can I say. I use this daily. Castor oil is widely believed to have healing benefits and is often used as a natural remedy for a variety of concerns. It is a quality product being organic and I've used it on my stomach at night for liver wellness, in my eyes for dryness and it feels so good.

This castor oil is amazing and exactly what you would want in a product. J MAC BOTANICALS is a fully certified organic castor oil that is cold pressed, pure unrefined, hexane free, in a glass bottle, and a family owned company. This product has sustainability features recognized by trusted certifications and contains at least 95% organic material. I have used this at night as both a soothing & moisturizing facial oil, as well as applied to some skin imperfections/bumps and covered them up for sleeping to wake up with some pretty amazing results & noticeable healing/shrinkage; I am excited to see the end result. This is an excellent product and I will be restocking immediately when I run out but this is definitely a very nice sized bottel and it may outlast the expiration date, lol!
