Got this for my 2 car garage where I park my car and motorcycle during the week and do woodworking on the weekend. I though about getting one of these for a long time, but finally bit the bullet and have been happy with it. I mounted it to a sheet of plywood using the brackets and a set of 4 bolts, nuts, and washers. I then mounted that piece of plywood to the exposed studs in my garage.I mounted mine above my garage door as I had the clearance to do so, and it's space I wouldn't normally use. I work with the garage door open, and after I'm done, I can see dust floating around long after I'm done. Running this for an hour is more than enough to clear the air in my garage after I'm done. Quite happy with the performance. The unit is loud (I'd say about the same as one of those old metal house floor fans), but I only run it after I'm done working and close up shop, so not a big deal. I set the timer for an hour and walk away.Overall, I'm happy and considering that I don't work in my garage daily, I'm sure the filters will last a decent amount of time before I replace them. Highly recommend.

Air movement? Check. Filters? Check. Seems to do what it is supposed to? Check. Volume? Hoo, boy, check. The only complaint is the noise. It will not be a background-you-get-used-to-it kind of appliance. It over parts the sound system, and is as loud as the shop vac. The only time I'm going to use it is when I'm doing active wood work and wearing ear protection, otherwise it just won't get turned on.After a few days I noticed that the circuit cuts itself off. Every day I have to unplug it and plug it back in if it wasn't left running overnight. Seeing as how this is mounted to the ceiling and the plug is on the 12 foot ceiling, that's a problem. I installed a wireless remote outlet, and it solves the problem, but there's a second remote now. Annoyance only, but might be a consideration if that isn't an option for you.

It’s a very nice unit, seems to work well, not as big as I was thinking but is a good size and does have some weight to it

I work with motors/fans of all shapes and sizes every day and there's NO reason this little motor/fan should be even 1/4 as loud as it is.This unit is built VERY cheap. All plastic and the cheapest kind of plastic at that.The bearing sounds like it's oily cardboard. There are airflow obstructions everywhere.It's like they didn't even turn it on before selling it.Don't buy this. I'd pay 100 bucks for some junk like this but not this much.Returning this garbage.Don't buy it.

Man! Life is good I purchased this two weeks ago and I have to say NICE! Clean air again, not spending two to thee hours cleaning and more time on projects . Wonderful machine !

Everything works like it should except for the remote. None of the buttons work for it.

Would be 5 stars except remote was completely useless and stopped working within a week.

I hung the unit in my workshop and it really did a great job. Had to change the filter fairly fast due to the amount of dust hanging in the air. Continued to do a great job until the ring’s provide to hang the unit failed under the unit’s weight. I assumed that since they came with the unit - they were tested and rated to be used as prescribed. Pretty scary to have this swing loose and fall.Side note: tried to use their website a few times to register the equipment- always down.Follow up: Once I rehung the unit it has been working great. I like it so much I purchased one for a nephew’s workshop. He’s just getting into wood working!
