Cry Babies Magic Tears Golden Edition - Mini Collectable Golden Dolls with Real Tears & Accesories - Assorted Surprise Model

My granddaughter loved this golden cry baby. She has collected most of the normal ones so it was nice to know when opening this one it wouldn’t be a doubler! The doll is not really a ‘glittery’ gold and the accessories were disappointingly much the same as the normal ones! However, for what I paid, it was well packaged, arrived on time and I had a very very happy little girl!

My five year old granddaughter absolutely adores "surprise" toys, so you can imagine her delight when I presented her with this large golden teardrop and told her it was a surprise toy.** SIZE **This is a large golden teardrop measuring 10.9 cm in height x 7.4 cm in width x 5.3 cm in depth. It contains a really cute mini Cry Baby doll.** INSIDE **Inside this golden teardrop is a golden mini "Cry Baby" doll and eight accessories. My granddaughter received the Rabbit Golden Doll and a bottle, dummy, bow and chair, also a bracelet, advent calendar and blanket. All of these accessories are hidden behind cardboard sectioned compartments with little doors to open ... This all adds to the surprise element of this toy.** QUALITY **The doll itself is cute enough and looks really good when you first get it, however after a time the gold paint on the dolls outfit does wear off a bit, however, I doubt this will bother a child too much, just the adult who paid for it.** PLAY FACTOR **My granddaughter has a vivid imagination and makes up whole worlds and scenarios for dolls such as this. This in turn can keep her amused for hours ... also the items being so small help improve her fine motor skills considerably.** GOLDEN TEARS **The idea of these little dolls, is that you feed them water from the supplied bottle then when the *head* is full, you squeeze the doll's tummy and tears flow from the doll's eyes. This idea works well and for a very short time the tears are gold tears, however this soon reverts to plain water tears which didn't seem to faze my granddaughter one bit.** PRICE **I do think the price for this surprise toy is a little high at £15.48 (price correct at the time of this review), however my granddaughter does get a lot of fun from toys such as this, so I don't really mind buying these type of toys for her.I hope you have found my review helpful

My stepdaughter had a previous cry baby so when we offered to review this one I didn't hesitate, the surprise doll itself is good quality and cries golden tears though after a while the tears just end up being just water. It doesn't bother my stepdaughter though she still loves it. It has a few accessories that were hidden so adds to the element of surprise. I still find these quite overpriced though.

My daughter loves Cry Babies dolls and has a few of them so she was happy to get this little extra. It's a super cute mini doll that comes in a golden egg. She loves to play with it in her made up baby games and is very happy.
