For a bedside light
I added two IEC connectors to mine. Mains power in is via a C8 inlet socket and power out is via a C13 connector into which is plugged an extension lead to a mains socket. The bedside light plugs into this mains socket. The timer is screwed to the bedside cabinet within easy reach. I set the timer to 20 minutes so it switches off when I fall asleep reading. There was soldering required for the new sockets. Very pleased with it as it is not good for the health to sleep with lights on.

I've used this in a greenhouse to control a water pump for a set period of time. It's been in use for about 2 months now, sprayed with water many times, and it works fine. No obvious entry points in the timer case for a cable. Had to drill a 20mm hole which was a bit fiddly. Included instructions are quite clear. Build quality excellent so buy with confidence.

Does what I brought it for
I fitted and wired this unit for my patio heater so it switches it off. So it will not get left on when not required. The paperwork does give a warning. “Should be fitted by a qualified Electrician“. This covers the manufacturer. It needs a fused supply and you need two waterproof glands for the two cables or conduit It looks the parts and it’s just like the ones in outside areas at pubs. Only fitted it the other day so let’s see how we go 👍

Very easy to install (Live, Neutral and switched live) easy to set up, I only hope it lasts longer than the previous one I had (failed after 15 months) from a different seller that cost twice as much.Once up it is obvious what anyone has to do to operate what you have connected.
