Not bad. Mine came intact as far as packaging and the cans for this order. If you like things in line with like Bubly, La Croix, etc. you will likely be fine with these as it's basically essenced. The taste is okay, wish it was just a tad bit stronger—I prefer Bubly's blackberry flavor as far as taste—this ones is okay though. Might try another flavor after I get through this pack. Either way, will likely grow on me. As far as the "energy" part of the drink, I do feel a bit energized/awake after drinking it. So it seems to work there. They're a bit pricey. But so are most energy drinks in the market. Arguably these are a littler cheaper given they are 16 oz cans and most other brands average 12 oz per 4 pack. Overall it's great for an option if you don't want artificial sweetners which seems to be rare to find as far as energy drinks go. I'd say that was the main selling point for me.

The Hiball Clean Energy Blackberry Seltzer absolutely delivers on the energy part. It gives a clean, noticeable boost without sugar, and the added B12 and B6 do their job. If you need caffeine without the crash, this stuff works. Now…the taste. Let’s just say it’s an acquired one. The blackberry flavor is overshadowed by a strong metallic note—somewhere between licking a battery and drinking carbonated aluminum. Not great, not subtle, and definitely memorable. Overall, it’s effective but not enjoyable. I’ll keep drinking it when I need energy and don’t care about flavor—but I wouldn’t reach for it if taste mattered. Functional fuel, questionable vibes.

Update Jan. 22, 2025: This product has been SIGNIFICANTLY improved from the manufacturer. While it is not exactly the same as previously produced by the well-known maker, this new product has been significantly improved as of late last year (2024). I give this a 4 out of 5, only because I know what it originally tasted like and I'm incredibly happy that it is 80% of what it used to be rather than previously early 2024 versions. I have only tried the Blackberry version and will eventually test the Vanilla. Original Post: I was a long-time Hi-Ball fan and like everyone else, disappointed it got cancelled given it's highly unique command on a market of energy drink consumers who do not want natural (sugar) or artificial sweeteners. So when I saw Hi-Ball back on the market and after reading the reviews, I was taking a gamble that the manufacturer had figured out how to recreate the really pleasant flavor. WOW WAS I WRONG!! The smell of the drink reminds me of a cheap berry scented soap, except far more muted. The taste... it tastes like a cheap berry scented soap smells, except more chemical and less berry. Like others, I too am disappointed and made the new manufacturer will figure out what it takes to bring the same level of quality back to this brand. As others have suggest, as of the posting of this review, steer clear because the taste has not been sorted out.

So far I had one of these HiBall blueberry flavored drinks from Tilray. I’d like the company to bring more flavor to it, so I added a little Grape Poppi to enhance the taste but then again most Seltzer water is like this. I will say it did keep me up and the drink was refreshing so I advise not to drink at night if you want to go to sleep. It’s an early pick me upper drink because there is an ingredient Guarana which is a Brazilian fruit and that has the caffeinated effect. I like no sugar and that Ginseng is in it. I will buy again but try a different flavor next time perhaps Vanilla. Thumbs up for this Selzer! Thanks Tilray…well done! I just got my Vanilla Seltzer yesterday and I tried one this morning. Love the vanilla flavor and very refreshing!!! I will be purchasing this flavor again. I have even added additional water and ice to get more water into my system. These are proving me a boost of energy when my mornings are in a slump.
