For an egg slicer, its really sleek
I don't know whether it was just me that didn't press down hard enough, but the egg looked a bit mauled rather than cleanly sliced? I'm hoping that if I press down harder next time, it will look much neater!

My elderly Mother has a cheap plastic slicer (plastic body, wire cutters) that she bought in around 1964.I don't see any reason why this one should not last just as long.I have only had it a few days, but I eat boiled eggs quite often, so I have tested it out quite extensively. It does everything I want. I can place the egg on its side or on its end, for different shaped slices or wedges, depending which cutter I decide to use.You can even use both cutters at once to sort-of dice an egg.I have found that the wires cut cleanly, and so far I am extremely happy with this item, and I would recommend it.I did buy another make last year (from a high street shop I think, it is not in my amazon orders), but I find that the wires are not quite as thin as on this Makidar item, and it tends to squash the egg before starting to slice it.

Just about does the job
A bit disappointing. Cleaning is fussy. Cutting needs attention, placing the egg, handling the cutter needs more attention than I'd expect.

Useful and looks nice
The metallic and black colour is modern and a lot more attractive than my old brown plastic egg slicer!Useful to have a choice of cutting shape.It seems sturdy enough to me.....but then I don't get especially vigorous when chopping a boiled egg!

Delighted I bought this item..
I very rarely leave a review, however, I'm so delighted with this item I thought it deserved a review! I'm so pleased I ordered this item, I'm very pleased with the quality of it and it had much more weight to it than I anticipated. It's very easy, straightforward to use, easy to clean .. I absolutely can't fault it at all!

Yh it was as expected...cleaning could be easier....but likd i said as expected...little heavier than needed .

Egg slicer
Slices my eggs to perfection don't know why I haven't got one earlier. does a perfect job and I'm very happy with it.
