It works but some trial and error needed
The GP diagnosed tennis elbow and advised a support - I chose this one. As with others some better guidance on how to wear it would have been welcome.Good points:Once you work out where the pad needs to be it does reduce the pain to a point where you can do things again. In the end the important thing is that it does work for what I got it for.I found it fine under long shirt sleeves although I admit I'm more likely to be short sleeves so less of a problem for me.When you get it in the right place it reduces the pain and I don't find it too noticeable that I'm wearing it.Bad points:Like another reviewer having had the first one for about six months the velcro strap is getting a little temperamental about staying fastened, also if not tight can tend to come off with your coat.Getting it in the right place can sometimes take a while, on some days I just don't get it right and it gets readjusted every now and again.Overall, despite the niggles, the fact that with it I could do a lot that I couldn't without it makes it worth having so when the other elbow decided to develop the same symptoms I bought another one without hesitation.

good support strap
I am currently suffering from a mild case of what seems to be golfers elbow and tennis elbow in the same arm. I started using a compressive bandage from poundland which helped with the pain but it only dampened it. With me using my arm for 10 hours a day with constant throwing I was worried the inflamation would take longer than the 4-6 weeks it apparently takes to heal something like this. I've been using this neo g strap for a week now and it has managed to get rid of the tennis elbow symptoms(have been doing recovery exercises and compressive strap for 2 weeks before already), golfers elbow still sore but I am still experimenting with the best way to place the strap especially since I've had both golfers and tennis elbow to deal with.Pros: seems sturdy, velcro closing is very convenient and easy to use. The gel pad is better than a simple compressive bandage. seems to have sped up recovery, has lessened pain.Cons: slightly overpriced for what it is. It tends to slip after a few hours and needs readjusting every once in a while. If it had stayed in place throughout me working it would have been a lot more effective by now imo.Instructions are very bad. For tennis elbow you slide strap on with writing facing you normally, for golfers you slide it on the other way round so the writing is facing you upside down, then you turn it round so the gel pad is on the inside of the arm but I had to figure this out myself and it is easy to just slide it on wrong which will help but not be as effective as this strap can be.Overall I am happy I bought it, my elbow is feeling a lot better and with the strap on correctly I do not feel pain while working.I will try to update this if and when my golfers elbow is healed which is now looking promising instead of getting worse.well couple months on and I've dropped a star off my original rating. The reason is that although this is one of the best straps for golfers elbow it is incomplete. Imo the best golfers elbow strap has not been invented yet.The closest I have come to a perfect strap is the lonsdale elbow strap with this neo g strap placed over the lonsdale strap as the lonsdale is elastic which it needs to be around the elbow but around the forearm a tight fitting strap like the neo-g is better. I know neo-G make a model with the elastic around the elbow and strap around forearm which is in theory the best design imo however I know that would not fit me as my arm is size small and arm sizes range from small to medium to large to x-large so that model looks flawed and for £19 it shouldn't be. Anyway I would recommend either a neoprene elbow support sleeve available from poundshops or ebay if you are using the Neo-G or like said the lonsdale strap. This will make the neo-g strap a lot more effective. Neither a neoprene sleeve or this strap are good enough by themselves but together they are very effective.

Instant support and relief
I got the product yesterday and I found how to put the elbow strap on by the instructions on the box after a small amount of time. This strap is perfect for me as I have skinny arms compared to many, though I'm only 18. I don't have severe pain in my elbow, but small reoccurring pain from repetitive strain, from working my arms hard, doing press Ups, using the computer, phone and games and sport. As i put it on tightly! Which is good as most wouldn't fit well most likely, my elbow, just felt comfortable and that small pain just disappeared, i don't know it's a psychological thing, but today i put it in the morning, (don't use when sleeping) for safety reasons it says) And i went to play tennis, this straps design is awesome in that it can be for both arms, you will know why once you try it. I have it on nice and firmly, you will know if it's too tight. And i played tennis with a bigger racquet as well to reduce stress! And i could hit better serves with more power and good forehand shots, the support is lovely so far, i won 2 sets nearly in straight games, normally it's quite even between us, so you can use during sport or general activities. You put the strap on so the Neo geo is facing the top, not the ground, you put the elbow support part just above the elbow bone.So overall i feel really happy, the quality build is nice and feels comfortable. Good luck for future customers who want to help recover their elbows or protect and prevent!
