It is a power supply - it either works and gets a 5 or it doesn't and it gets a none - but if it works then it takes a lot of power in as AC and then puts out less power as DC - and this powers the MSI laptop - it is needed because the laptop battery is very terrible and it uses up all its power very quickly - so it is recommended to have these power supplies scattered around the place so you can use the laptopIf you don't have an MSI laptop you probably should not buy this power supplyIf you do have an MSI laptop then you can buy this if you want to use the laptop

I was happy to see a second laptop power cord come available for my MSI Taider GE76 laptop.This power supply is a little bit larger than the original. But seeing as it has a higher output rating this makes sense.My laptop doesn't seem to lknownl the difference between this and the original, and this is a good thing!This power cord will be the new daily use power cord and the slightly smaller original one is going in my travel bag.
