If you have Dewalt tools these adapters will turn the batteries into long lasting usb chargers for your phone. Both ports work just fine but don’t expect very much output. A shame because the batteries themselves are powerful enough to run actual power tools. But for charging phone during a camping trip or a blackout these are invaluable. Btw, the usb-c pd port was not able to charge a laptop, so my guess is that these are low enough power output to be phones and maybe tablets only. But I’d still buy it again for what it is!

Went with these as a cheaper alternative to the DeWalt branded version. I picked these since I was looking at portable chargers for when I go camping and figured for a low price, I could have portable power by using the 8 dewalt batteries I have. Just chuck them in the truck with these adapters and I am charging my phone and stuff for days.I have only tried them at home for testing, but will update this review after I go camping next month.

Use it for camping, long car rides, or when you need power on the go, not just for power tools anymore. Highly recommend. Great way to get multiple uses out of our batteries.

I had the ability to test the USB-A port without issue. It charges perfectly. On the other hand, I had no success using the PD power port on the adapter. This was with multiple PD capable phones and devices.the USB-C port only charges at .6W with any other PD charger that i have the phone says fully charged in 21 minutes. this adaptor will take 1 hour and 45 minutes to charge. that is with the phone already at 85% charged. all my phones give a charging error with all cables. So I have a half working adapter. with the PD port not working as it should, I can't recommend these.

This is a clever little accessory that falls into that category of "why didn't I think of that!" If you have DeWalt cordless tools, and phones and tablets that need charging, why not use the battery from the tools if you are in a pinch?The color is a very close match to the battery, and it snaps on and locks just like the various cordless tools. The overall fit is pretty good, but it doesn't look quite as good as the way the tools fit. If they put a black and yellow label on it, you'd have a hard time telling that it wasn't a DeWalt product. It has both a standard USB and USB-C outlet (these are NOT to charge the DeWalt battery). I tried a few different cables, and all fit fine, and everything I plugged in took the charge just fine (phone, speakers, tablet). While charging, the unit does get warm to the touch, but not hot. This is to be expected since it is dropping 20V down to around 5V.It's a nice thing to have in the toolbox.UPDATE: During a recent power outage these came in very handy. The kids ran down all of the USB backup batteries in the house, but I still had my DeWalt batteries charged. I used this to power an inductive charger for my phone and watch. I started it when I went to bed, and when I woke up my phone was fully charged. I was worried that this device would run down the DeWalt battery, but it had shut off and I still had 1/2 charge on the Dewalt battery.
