Krone Punch Down Tool Professional Quality...and it is.
So there i was, at home changing the master phone/adsl socket and installing a new extension socket, i had all the necessary pieces (or i thought i had) including what i consider to be the worst tool ever created, yes you've guessed it, the PLASTIC punch down tool which i got free with the new sockets. i spent about three hours trying to punch down the wires without success, after punching down just two wires the plastic tool morphed into something else, it was as useful as a blancmange, absolutely useless, my body ached from rolling around the floor trying to do the job, in the end i gave up, i searched amazon, saw this tools along with the reviews and sent for it, when it arrived IT TOOK ME ABOUT FIVE MINUTES to wire up three sockets perfectly. This krone tool is excellent, it works very well, it also trims the wire when inserting it and it makes excellent connections EVERY TIME, if you are carrying out any telephone wiring, do not hesitate, buy it, i was so impressed i've told my family about it just in case they need to use it. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, press that button and get it.

It works – and very nicely.
Worked a treat. I loved the satisfying click when the spring compressed far enough, showing enough force had been applied to jam the wires in the slots of the connectors, cutting through the insulation at the same time. Better still I loved having working extension sockets after my efforts with this tool! I was a bit surprised that no instructions came with it, but there is some very good informal online guidance.

Very useful tool
I was trying to make connections to Cat 5 type sockets by pushing cables into the socket cable jaws with whatever came to hand - screwdrivers, old credit cards etc. Very hit and miss. This locates itself into the right alignment and is just the right shape to push each strand neatly in place, with a satisfying clunk as it clips the cable end off to the right length. Not something I use all the time but for DIY infrequent use it's been well worth the few quid I spent on it.

Good quality, even better value!
This was the first time I had used such a tool. It makes a reassuring click with each punch and snips the excess wire at the same time.Well made, a pleasure to use and outstanding value at the price I paid.I would certainly recommend

Decent value for the cost
These tools are great for a few uses but they aren’t very durable if you wanted it for professional use. As an odd job tool though its great

Does the job
I did full 24 port CAT6 panel with this and it didn't fell apart and still feels like new so I guess I can recommend it.
