FossilParker Mini Backpack, Green Python

First off, the bag was everything I dreamed! I've had my eye on this bag for weeks and was so excited to try out the cross body function. There was a small strap near a metal clasp on the backpack strap that broke when I tried to unfasten the clasp to reposition the bag straps. It could have just been I was too forceful with it or a weak spot in the sewing since it split at the sewing/seam work. I did return for a full refund and am going to re-order. I don't think this was to speak to the quality, but perhaps a mistake in construction which I'm sure happens from time to time.Everything else seemed perfect. Zipper was a good quality and the hardware beautiful. Loved the hidden zipper and the slotted pocket on the back of the bag. Truly a well rounded bag!Cons: while I personally don't think there are many I do want to be objective as well. I noticed immediately the bag doesn't seem as big as the pictures make it out to be. Its not as as deep as I thought. I thought it was going to be a little taller. For me the size works. But in case you're looking for a deeper bag the large backpack version may be a better option.I had seen other reviews about the magnetized closure on the front pocket being flimsy and I agree. For the price of the bag it could be far stronger. Its not a concern for me since I won't keep anything valuable there, however, I did have to work a little bit to make sure the magnet closure was in place and it did easily detach. Now, in some cases that may not be a bad thing for getting in and out of the pocket quickly, but not great for security and making sure things stay in the pocket with movement and use of the bag.Overall my first impression was great, although slightly disappointed. I'll update my review when my re-order comes in.Update: The bag was reordered and came in about 5 days. I unpackaged the bag and began to undo the straps which I initially had issues with. The first strap was fine but then the second strap did the same thing as the first time. It was near a metal fastener that holds the strap together and the leather piece broke as I was trying to unhook it from a slit made in the leather. Again it looked like it was on a seam and that it was particularly weak where it was stitched together. It's also very possible that the area this piece is located is more vulnerable because of that fastener that is there. I've uploaded some pictures to show how it looks and the area that I particularly had issues with.I was debating on keeping it anyhow since I mostly wanted to use this as a crossbody bag, as previously mentioned. I attach the straps from hooks that are placed on the inside of the bag. After doing that I realized that unless you are very thin this doesn't work very well as a crossbody bag. The straps are just too short. I even thought of connecting both straps to make it longer but it just looks strange. I loosened the strap as far as I could and it did not give me much more length. If you were going to use this bag it would be best used as a backpack, tote, or a shoulder bag. I planned on using this more as a crossbody than any of the other options although I loved that it was a backpack as well. I'm pretty disappointed that it doesn't function as a crossbody bag as it was marketed for. Also, as I mentioned in the previous review it was a little smaller than I'd hoped. Overall, I think it's a beautiful bag and the quality is beautiful aside from that piece that seems prone to breaking. If you're planning to use this as a backpack mostly then this would be a good buy for you. Unfortunately, I will be returning it and looking for something more suitable for my needs.

Review of " Fossil Women's Parker Leather Mini Backpack Purse Handbag" Color Brown.I've been using this purse daily now for 6 weeks. It's fitting all my needs and is the perfect size for an every day purse. By itself, it's not too heavy. Some leather purses can be very heavy, but not this one. It's a bit stiff when you first use it, but mine is starting to soften up and not be so brick like (as I read in other reviews). I know it will keep it's structure, though, and not become like a soft hobo bag. The back slide pocket fits my iphone 14, with case and with pop socket. Yes, it's a little difficult to get in and out, but that's not a big deal. I would suggest for the designers to make it a little bigger. I bought this purse to only use as a backpack, not a cross body. But it's nice to have the option. The inside of the purse has a nice brass ring on both sides, just under the zipper on the inside. These are for changing the strap to a cross body. I use these to hang my keys on with a clip! I have two sets of keys (one set for my car, one for husband's car) and each one has a clip on it. So they both hang on those two inside rings. LOVE this. The front flap pocket is great for a few small essentials like tissues, a pen, and chapstick. It does fit my phone by itself (see above for phone details), but I do not like anything in a magnetic pocket that is valuable. I may not feel someone stealing from it. That's why I like the phone in that back pocket where it's against my back. If I could change something, I'd make that magnet easier to use on that front pocket. It's difficult to close. No biggie overall, but it's a small design flaw. The straps are perfectly comfortable. I'm 5'3" and a pretty small person, so this is the biggest I can go with a bag without looking like a child carrying her Mama's purse, LOL. It's perfect for me. Plenty of room inside for all my essentials as well. Small wallet, small zippered pouch for essentials, glasses case for regular glasses, my sunglasses, 2 sets of keys, a few things in the inside pockets. Then there is room for the times I need to throw something extra in there, like a water bottle, a scarf, my husbands wallet and phone, that sort of thing. I love the top handle. I do sometimes need to carry it by that handle and it's easy and elegant. I plan to use this for years to come!Notes for the designer:1 - Magnet on front pocket is hard to close, would like it bigger and stronger.2 - Back pocket is a bit tight. Would like it roomier to reach into with fingers (and I have tiny fingers!)3 - Some metal feet on the bottom would be really nice, especially for such an expensive leather bag.

This bag is really cute - I love the hidden pocket in the back to put your wallets! This is by far my favorite purse I own

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect convertible backpack-purse. While this one has some flaws, it’s one of the best I’ve found so far. Ideally, I wanted a backpack that can truly convert to a handbag. Size was perfect for me, but be aware, this bag is the smaller version. Only about 9x9 overall.Pros: Leather colors are beautiful and you can’t go wrong with any of them.-Side zip pocket, fits an iPhone 14 Pro/Plus with no issues. Additionally, I would considered this a security pocket, it’s along the back of the bag, and would be a plus for traveling.- Straps easily clip in and out for backpack mode.- Zippers are all good quality, which I expect from a Fossil product.Cons:- Front pocket is a magnet. My only hesitation buying this product was that the front pocket did not have a zipper. If the bag flips upside down, items can easily fall out of this pocket. The magnet is also not overly strong and has to be snapped in place to secure.- Bag needs a second handle added on top. If using the bag as a purse, while the handle works fine, it’s located on one side of the bag, once you add weight inside of the bag, it puts stress on only one side of the handle. Overtime, I’m not sure how the handle would hold up.

Love the color and print. Wish straps were longer but can still work as handbag or backpack.

First of all, the pattern and colours of this backpack are beautiful. The design, being able to use it as both a crossbody purse and a backpack is nice, but a bit lacking. When you wear it as a backpack the strap just pulls through so it hangs awkwardly. I purchased a shoulder pad strap attachment and placed that on the middle of the strap, so now it works as it should - it seems like something Fossil should have included in the design of the purse. I have been wanting this particular purse backpack for awhile, and when it was on sale I snapped it up quickly. But when I unpacked it I was surprised at how thin the material was and how narrow the straps are - for the price that these regularly sell for I expected better. I have a lot of vintage Fossil purses, and this just doesn't meet the quality construction and design of the older ones.

El bolso es igual a las fotos publicadas y cumple con la descripción del producto. En este modelo las correas vienen incluidos a la bolsa por lo que no se pueden extraer de ella como en la versión grande (no hay forma) para llevarla como bandolera solo se debe jalar la misma cuerda hacia la asa de la bolsa y listo!!! Es muy funcional y sencilla realmente la recomiendo. Otra cosa que quiero compartir es respecto al cuero ecológico que si es cuero vacuno pero lo llaman ecológico por la forma en que es tratado como materia prima (más amigable con el medio ambiente, menos agua, menos químicos, etc.) aunque Fossil lanzo una gama de cuero ecológico hecho de cactus para este bolso en particular las etiquetas indican que si es vacuno.

I have a penchant for Fossil bags. And this fitted the bill on what I needed. But I have to say, for the price, it is poorly made. The leather is thin. the back straps are really uncomfortable. I am average sized, and the straps for the arms are rigid and stick out in odd angles and are uncomfortable. I simply don't find it comfortable to wear as a backpack, and that was why I bought it. The clever design to turn it into a saddle bag, shoulder bag or backpack works better if you have some mechanism to adjust without the straps them being pulled in all directions. Putting the thing on my back means I have to either hold both straps with my hand and awkwardly fit one arm in or simply put one arm through a huge gap and then get my other arm into a restraint strap. I am double jointed in my elbows which means I can move my arms in directions that those who aren't double jointed, cannot do. And even with this trait, I still cannot get the damn thing on without turning and twisting in circles. It's a beautiful bag to look at and that's about it.

i loved it, it was exactly what i was looking for - until today, barely two months after i bought the bag, the Zipper broke beyond repair! I never put heavy load in the bag, only small stuff.The bag is unuseable without the zipper, so that’s my money down the drain!
