I am new to hand embroidery and was looking for inexpensive fabric to play with. While watching a Sarah Homfray tutorial, she recommended a cotton/linen blend. A quick online search found this product on Amazon. I was a bit leary about buying fabric without first handling it, but since the merchant offered free returns, I thought it was worth a try. I'm so glad I did because this material is great! It has a nice open weave that works with all types of threads, from a few strands of DMC to thicker tapestry wool. The fabric isn't very smooth or refined, but I like the rustic look and feel. I use a wrapped hoop, and the material stays nicely taut during stitching. I love working on pure linen, but I don't like practicing on such expensive material. This fabric lets me play without worrying about the cost. I only wish the seller would provide in their item description the percentage of cotton and linen in the blend. I would like to know if it is a 50/50, 60/40, or some other cotton/linen ratio.

This is proper flax Linen. I did a burn test. Medium/ heavy weight (9oz). It came in one piece. Measurements listed in the description are accurate. It doesn't appear to have been dyed. The feel is what I'd expect for this weight of material. I make clothing. This material will be perfect for my sturdier projects (light jackets/ belts/ bags/ etc). As soon as I touched it and tested it I bought 2 more.

Great price I haven't used it yet but if seems to be the real deal I bought because of the reviews I also did burn test .

Used it for a linen apron and now using linen strips in a quilt. Highly recommend!

Is not linen. Feels like canvas drop cloth material. Not what I wanted but I’ll find a use for it.
