Extremely dark and scary, not for children!
Unfortunately we've rented this movie last year but I didn't remember so I purchased it this year! After we started watching it I remembered how awful it was but had already wasted my $15. My children that watched this range from ages 1 year old to 12 years old. This movie is extremely scary and dark, not at all what you think of when you see the pretty colorful cover picture that's advertised. I'm so disappointed that I wasted my money and bought this. We will never be watching this again. This is not a fun, happy Christmas movie for children.

Way too dark, Beast is portayed as abusive
I like the main song and they get points for having the original voice actors, but this movie is SO dark. They make the beast a sociopath!! Like, domestic violence vibes. And my 3 year old was scared of Forte, the organ (she wasn’t afraid of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty or Te Ka from Moana but Forte was just too dark). I love Beauty and the Beast and I love Christmas but this was too dark to be a good holiday movie. Oh and don’t get me started on the Jewish stereotype that is the ax character! And how Forte is done in cheesy CGI but the rest of the movies are regular animation.

This movie is dark and frightening.
I was looking for a warm, heart felt Christmas movie for the kids. I watched the trailer. The trailer was extremely misleading! The trailer had no mention at all of an evil villain existing in this supposedly "Magical Celebration." The evil Pipe Organ played spiritual mind games on the beast to lead him down the dark path of hatred and anger. A good chunk of the movie was about the beast losing his temper with everyone and having a deep rooted seed of hatred for something that happened in his past. Eventually, the evil pipe organ was defeated and the last 2 minutes of the movie show glimpses of happiness. This is one of THE WORST Christmas movies I have ever watched. It should not even be called a Christmas movie! I am so disappointed! I looked and looked for a way to get my money back so I could have this movie removed from my digital library but I found no way to do that. I am so disappointed! This movie does not even deserve one star!

Love this Christmas Movie!
I was so excited to purchase a digital copy of this movie. I have not seen it in years and it was always one of my favorites. I think the movie is very clever in how it fits within the original story line and also revolves around Christmas. The music and story are good and having the original voice cast is a bonus. I don't think the graphics are as good as the original Beauty and and the Beast movie (not as detailed). However, it was a sequel that when straight to video. It is one of the best sequels Disney has made. The movie takes place in the middle of the original movie. Belle is at the castle and Prince Adam is still a Beast. This movie gives some additional background into the curse placed on the castle and into the Beast's temperament. It is also a 'stepping stone' story in how Belle and the Beast fell in love.If you are a fan of the original Beauty and the Beast movie, then this is a 'must-see.'

More like the Villian's enchanted Christmas
So disappointing. This movie is about 25% about Christmas and 75% about the evil organ literally trying to get Belle killed and incite the Beast to anger and abuse towards his staff. I was expecting a feel good christmas movie instead it's one awful thing after the next happening to Belle. Including her almost dying after falling through a frozen lake. The bad guy got waaaay too much screen time causing the movie to feel more like a nightmare than Christmas movie. The quality of the product it self was great though. Beautifully packaged and pristine condition.

Lovely Christmas show. A bit dark maybe not for the very young.
Loved it....the time frame for this is before the curse was lifted with a very evil Tim Curry as the very bad pipe organ who tries to keep the Beast in the dark as far as his feelings for Belle goes. I loved the whole scene and the art is superb and the music is too.

Worth every penny!
I have been looking for this movie on DVD forever and was beyond excited when I found it. It was a favorite of mine and my mom's when I was growing up. As an adult, I still look forward to watching this movie every Christmas season. Children and adults can both enjoy the movie. It really feels like a little continuation of Beauty and the Beast. Definitely recommend watching this one!

Classic Disney
I love this movie. I grew up in the 90's on this. I do think Maestro is a bit scary, my four year old even said so, but she enjoyed the film still and continued watching. Ursula is scary in Little Mermaid to her and she still loves that movie too. I think its just part of the elements. It is classic Disney. I am excited to watch it this Christmas for the first time on blu ray. All the classic Beauty and the Beast characters are in it. Its great.

Ideal stocking filler
Bought this for my Daughter for Xmas. She loves the original and watches it often. After reading the other reviews it sounds as though this tells the story inbetween Belles arrival at the beasts castle and when he turns back into the prince and set at christmas time so a perfect stocking filler. Im sure we will all be watching it come boxing day and singing along to the songs.

annoying
I could hear the dvd whacking against the case I open the case to find that the holder where the dvd sits is broken.. so I'm not happy as it was supposed to be a Christmas gift so now I'm going to have to find a new case...

Good choice for Disney and Beauty and the Beast lovers
This arrived with different artwork to the picture shown but I bought it for the children and unless you're a die hard DVD/blue ray collector, this isn't too big a deal. The content is good, my son of 6 enjoyed it more than my 2 year old daughter... Maybe not bright enough for her but it's a good length Christmas film for a reasonable price.

Nice and Christmassy
A Disney sequel and a Christmas film together sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. However, this sequel maintains all the magic of the first film and the christmas element rounds off the film nicely. The film starts after Beauty and the Beast, but flashes back to the previous Christmas when everyone was still under the witch's spell. I love this film so much that I watch it all year round. Still waiting on a region free/UK blu ray release though.
